Mutiny: Wall Street Vultures Swoop In to Install Biden and Ryan as Duopoly Candidates

Democratic and Republican Elites Reject Voters’ Choice and Conspire to Deny Clinton and Trump Nominations

What do Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have in common?  Both are front runners in their respective parties and both are despised by the banking vultures who intend to overturn the will of the voters.

Veep Joe Biden and Speaker Paul Ryan have served their Wall Street masters well and their masters will not allow Clinton or Trump to take control of the parties they have bought through campaign contributions. 

Contributions that have awarded the vultures dream legislation like Biden’s 2005 Bankruptcy Protection Bill and Ryan’s budgets that cut government to breathtaking levels and created the derivatives cash cow charter school system.

Paul Ryan made clear on CNN that he does not support Donald Trump as the GOP candidate for President unless Trump embraces the “conservative agenda” that Ryan espouses.

Ryan is meeting with Trump this week to persuade Trump to abandon the Trump agenda and continue the punitive Wall Street endorsed “conservative agenda.”  Some of the points of contention are:

·        Trump wants to raise taxes on the wealthy but Ryan wants more tax cuts for the rich

·        Trump rejects the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement that Ryan supports

·        Trump is for opening relations with Cuba which Ryan says “legitimizes a tyrannical dictatorship”

·        Trump agrees that federal funding for Planned Parenthood be cut, but Trump feels the agency delivers important women’s health care screenings and services. Ryan supports complete denial of funds and backs a panel to investigate the discredited “fetal tissue sales” allegations.

·        Trump opposes Illegal Immigration and wants to build a wall whereas Ryan backs granting legal status for some illegal immigrants.

·        On minimum wage Trump has expressed his belief people need “something you can live on” and Ryan opposes any raise in minimum wage

·        On Social Security Ryan favors raising the eligibility age, lowering benefits and privatization while Trump outright rejects any cuts to entitlement benefits or privatization.

·        Trump says the government could save billions allowing Medicare to purchase medications in bulk while Ryan demands keeping the ban on Medicare negotiating drug prices

Ryan is already lining up dark money to fund a Ryan candidacy.  PR Watch is reporting that Ryan not only has released videos that look like campaign ads but he is running his own "parallel platform," and fundraising with major GOP donors.  

An unnamed source "close to" the Koch brothers told the Huffington Post that Charles Koch believes Ryan is a "shoo-in" for the nomination at a brokered GOP convention. Koch Industries has long been one of Representative Ryan's top contributors, and now is one of Speaker Ryan's biggest boosters.

This quarter, the Koch's are helping to fuel his staggering $17 million war chest, reports Politico. Charles Koch, CEO of Koch Industries, and his wife gave his "Team Ryan" fundraising vehicle $488,400 in March alone; Koch Industries gave $71,000.

At the same time Ryan as is sabotaging Donald Trump’s candidacy, Vice President Joe Biden is working behind the scenes to prepare to “step in” should Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton be indicted by Obama and Biden’s FBI. 

It was reported in the New York Post March of 2015 that the White House was behind the leaks of the investigations of Hillary Clinton’s State Department. The duopoly is fomenting rumors of an inevitable indictment against Clinton coming from the FBI whose Director, James Comey is a holdover from the George W. Bush Administration.

In February of this year Newsbusters reported that Bill Bartmann, a Democratic insider "emailed dozens of fans of Vice President Joe Biden on Friday, urging them to remain prepared to donate if Biden jumps into the (presidential) race."

So who is Bill Bartmann and who are these “fans” of Joe Biden that are greasing the skids for a Biden presidential bid, skipping the primary race?

In 2011 Forbes wrote an article called “Return of the Billionaire Huckster”, that huckster being Bill Bartmann.  Bartmann built one of America’s biggest fortunes turning credit card debt into creative Wall Street securities.  Forbes put it this way:

Bartmann owned and ran the nation’s biggest debt collection company, Commercial Financial Services, raking in huge profits courtesy of people with overdue credit card bills and then turning that debt into a Wall Street chit. But after his partner confessed to inflating collection rates at his agency, Bartmann lost his fortune, his company and his reputation. He barely avoided the slammer.

Hmmm, so who are these fans that are ready to plow money into a Biden campaign?

One of the donors Bartmann reached out to was vulture hedge fund manager, Gary Hindes.  It was reported by Philly.com that Hindes’ Fallen Angels Fund buys deflated securities at discounted prices then fought against government bailouts of the securities so he could make a killing on the debt he bought for pennies on the dollar.

Hindes is currently suing the Federal Housing Finance Agency and the U.S. Treasury, alleging that the government stripped Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac of more than $100 billion to repay taxpayers for the government bailout.

Hindes filed a complaint along with investor David Jacobs, in U.S. District Court in Delaware and have retained lawyer Myron T. Steele, who from 2004 to 2013 was chief justice of Delaware, the nation's preeminent jurisdiction for ownership and securities disputes.

Other shareholders have actions seeking billions in compensation and if the courts take the investors' side and award fat damages, Congress may decide it's time to cut the government's ties to Fannie and Freddie.

Another donor, Patrick Baskette was former special assistant to Senator Biden.  Biden, whose entire career was funded by the banking industry more specifically credit card giant MBNA is responsible for some of the worst financial legislation in history.

A couple of the most egregious of the bills that Joe Biden sponsored were the 2005 Bankruptcy Bill that is responsible for the $1.2 trillion in unforgiveable student loan debt and the 1990’s crime bill that has resulted in the massive for profit industrial prison complex.  The International BusinessTimes reported extensively on Biden’s tawdry Senate career.

Biden began his career at age 29 winning his senate seat with the backing credit card giant MBNA and quickly rose to gain a seat on the Senate Judiciary Committee that oversees bankruptcy legislation. Over the span of Biden’s career he received $1.9 million in campaign funding from the financial industry.

In 1977 Biden began arguing that students were filing bankruptcy right after graduation to avoid repayment of student loans.  Although a GAO report repudiated those claims and found that less than 1% of student loans were erased in bankruptcy, Biden was able to get the bankruptcy legislation through. 

The bill prohibited students from seeking bankruptcy protection for government-sponsored loans until 5 years after graduation.

By 1984 Biden had seniority on the Judiciary Committee passed a bill that extended the student loan bankruptcy exemptions to include loans for vocational schools and the bill was signed into law by President Reagan.

In 1990 Biden was the chief sponsor of the 1990 Crime Control Act that toughened criminal sentences.  Included in Biden’s bill were provisions that lengthened the amount of time debtors would have to wait before they could access traditional bankruptcy protections for their federal and non-profit student loans.

By 1997 President Clinton could see the damage done to students by Biden and his Judiciary Committee and appointed a federal panel that recommended Congress reverse the changes and make student loans dischargeable in bankruptcy court.  But Biden and Congress defied Clinton and made it even harder for students to get bankruptcy protection.

In 1998 Biden and his ilk passed a law that would LIMIT bankruptcy protections for students experiencing “undue hardship” caused by their student loan debt burden.

In 2000 Biden became the prominent Democrat in support of a bankruptcy bill that would even further restrict bankruptcy protections.  While Biden was pushing through the 2000 bankruptcy bill, Biden’s son Hunter fresh out of law school was hired as a consultant by MBNA.  But that wasn’t all MBNA bought Biden’s Delaware home in a sweetheart deal. 

Biden’s 2000 bill contained a provision prohibiting bankruptcy protection for educational loans from PRIVATE FINANCIAL FIRMS. President Clinton ultimately vetoed the bill after First Lady Hillary Clinton pressured him to reject the legislation.

After George W. Bush, whose major financial backer in his 2000 Presidential bid was MBNA, was installed in office after the Supreme Court overturned the will of the voters. Biden quickly revived his bankruptcy bill, now as a co-sponsor.  As reported in TheDaily Kos:

Senator Clinton: I rise today in support of final passage of S. 420, the Bankruptcy Reform Act.  Many of my colleagues may remember that I was a strong critic of the bill that passed out of the 106th Congress…

While we have yet to achieve the kind of bankruptcy reform I believe is possible, I have worked with a number of people to make improvements that bring us closer to our goals, particularly when it comes to child support.

Women can now be assured that they can continue to collect child support payments after the child’s father has declared bankruptcy. The legislation makes child support the first priority during bankruptcy proceedings…

Earlier today, this body agreed to include a cap on the homestead exemption to ensure that wealthy debtors could not shield their wealth by purchasing a mansion in a state with no cap on homestead exemption.

In addition, I was concerned about competing nondischargeable debt so I worked hard with Senator Boxer to ensure that more credit card debt can be erased so that women who use their credit cards for food, clothing and medical expenses in the 90 days before bankruptcy do not have to litigate each and every one of these expenses for the first $750.

Let me be very clear—I will not vote for final passage of this bill if it comes back from conference if these kind of reforms are missing. I am voting for this legislation because it is a work in progress, and it is making progress towards reform.

After Senator Jim Jeffords switched parties the Democrats took over the majority and the bill languished until the Republicans regained control in 2004.  After the Republicans regained control of the Senate, the Biden bankruptcy bill became a priority.  This time the provisions and protections gained by Hillary Clinton were excised by Biden and the Republicans.

Biden led the fight against the Democrats efforts to soften the bill’s impact on some of the most vulnerable debtors. Biden voted against protection for divorced mothers who failed to receive child support being able to get bankruptcy protection for a portion of their debts.

He opposed barring firms from exceeding 30 percent interest on loans, and he voted against special bankruptcy protection for soldiers, victims of identity theft and people with extremely high medical debt.

My, my, my.  Is it any wonder that there’s a mutiny against the frontrunners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton?  No wonder Wall Street Vultures are swooping in to install their handmaidens Joe Biden and Paul Ryan as the Duopoly candidates.  The vultures have too much to lose if Biden and Ryan leave them this way.

Danger Zone: CIA Agitators Disrupt Trump Rallies as War Monger Obama Schmoozes with Presstitutes

Donald Trump’s foreign policy speech calling for peace and cooperation with Russia and China outrages war mongers as Obama and Media Whores dance on the grave of Democracy.

Earlier this week Republican frontrunner Donald Trump entered the danger zone.  Trump made a speech on foreign policy to lay out what foreign policy would look like in a Trump Administration.  In his speech Trump expressed the importance of working with Russia to fight our common enemy ISIS and radical Islamists.  In his speech he said:

We desire to live peacefully and in friendship with Russia and China. We have serious differences with these two nations, and must regard them with open eyes, but we are not bound to be adversaries. We should seek common ground based on shared interests.

“Russia, for instance, has also seen the horror of Islamic terrorism. I believe an easing of tensions, and improved relations with Russia from a position of strength not only is possible, absolutely possible. Common sense says this cycle, this horrible cycle of hostility must end and ideally will end soon. Good for both countries.

Some say the Russians won’t be reasonable. I intend to find out. If we can’t make a deal under my administration, a deal that’s great — not good, great — for America, but also good for Russia, then we will quickly walk from the table. It’s as simple as that. We’re going to find out.

I will never send our finest into battle unless necessary, and I mean absolutely necessary, and will only do so if we have a plan for victory with a capital V.

As Donald Trump delivered those words of peace and cooperation President Barack Obama was in Hanover, Germany for a mini war summit.  Meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, French President Francois Hollande and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Obama announced a significant escalation of American intervention in the Middle East, particularly in Syria.

“Plan B” for Syria allows the CIA and Saudi Arabia to funnel massive amounts of arms, including surface-to-air missiles into the hands of the CIA trained “moderate” terrorists and Al Qaeda militias to fight against Russia and remove elected Syrian President Assad.

Last month Military.com reported that militias in Syria armed by the CIA were fighting against militias armed by the Pentagon.  For five years the Obama Administration has been training and arming militias on both sides of the battle including ISIS.  The insanity continues to escalate in spite of $8.5 trillion dollars missing from the Pentagon budget.

As Obama and his millionaire congress cut social programs this congress has funded the building of more nuclear delivery systems and more nuclear factories than any other American president.  Information Clearing House reports the cost over 30 years is more than $1 trillion for nuclear war heads alone.

In Ukraine the CIA coup orchestrated with the assistance of Vice President Joe Biden and Victoria Nuland and their Nazi cohorts, has left the country practically uninhabitable.

The U.S. military and NATO are surrounding Russia with troops, tanks and weaponry deployed to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

While Obama and the CIA controlled media ridiculed Trump’s foreign policy vision for America, his speech was warmly welcomed in Moscow.  After years of the American media demonizing Putin and the Russian people there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not an oncoming train.

But that light is quickly being extinguished. 

The White House Correspondents Dinner revealed the unholy alliance between our millionaire owned media and the Executive branch. 

New York Times Magazine Correspondent Mark Leibovich has said the Washington journalists have evolved into a “Celebrity Class.”  Responding to a question as to why the New York Times no longer sends its correspondents to the dinner Leibovich replied:

 “It did not feel like the right message to be sending to our readers to really be, you know, in such a chummy in sort of festive setting with the people we’re covering,” Leibovich added. He said that the rapid expansion of wealth around D.C. is also “part of the disconnect” between the Beltway media and the rest of the country.

In his foreign policy speech, Donald Trump also spoke of “the disconnect” between Washington and the rest of the country:           

NAFTA, as an example, has been a total disaster for the United States and has emptied our states — literally emptied our states of our manufacturing and our jobs. And I’ve just gotten to see it. I’ve toured Pennsylvania. I’ve toured New York. I’ve toured so many of the states. They have been cleaned out. Their manufacturing is gone.

Never again, only the reverse — and I have to say this strongly — never again …

There will be consequences for the companies that leave the United States only to exploit it later. They fire the people. They take advantage of the United States. There will be consequences for those companies. Never again.

With those words Donald Trump entered the Danger Zone.  The CIA agitators have been unleashed to disrupt Trump rallies as the war monger in Chief schmoozes with the presstitutes.  Saturday Night as the Obama’s tinderbox is on the brink of World War III, the war monger in chief and the presstitutes danced the night away on the grave of democracy.

The CIA controls the duopoly in America and therefore controls the delegates who appoint the nominees for President of the United States of America.  What is happening in the 2016 election process is the unveiling of how dangerous and disgusting the CIA controlled process has become.

World War III has begun, it began when the American government was overthrown in 2000 and George W. Bush, son of George H.W. From FDR to today, the Bush Crime Family and their fixated core of corporate fascists have, using unbridled corporate power, been tightening their grip on the throats of the American political, legal, economic and media systems…

That’s absolutely true, from FDR to today the Bush Crime Family and their corporate fascists have used unbridled corporate power to consolidate the media, courts, governorships in their hands.  Henry Wallace Vice-President to FDR (1941-1945) warned America of the danger of American fascists:

Henry Wallace was America’s Nostradamus.  Vice President Henry Wallace was one of the first casualties of the delegate process.  So how did that happened to Vice President Henry Wallace?  From Senate.gov:

Prefaced by the stormy Democratic nominating convention of 1940, the vice-presidency of Henry A. Wallace concluded with the equally tempestuous 1944 convention. In 1940, when Vice President John Nance Garner broke with President Franklin D. Roosevelt and withdrew to Texas, Roosevelt designated Wallace as his running mate over the considerable objection of many convention delegates.

When warned that the delegates might revolt, Roosevelt made it clear that "they will go for Wallace or I won't run, and you can jolly well tell them so." Party leaders reluctantly capitulated to the president's demand and nominated Wallace, but the convention's mood was so sour that Wallace decided not to make an acceptance speech…

Named a member of FDR's secret "war cabinet," Wallace chaired the Economic Defense Board, the Supply Priorities and Allocations Board, and the Board of Economic Warfare. Journalists began to refer to him as "Mr. Assistant President."

Divided into an Office of Imports, Office of Exports, and Office of War Analysis, the Board of Economic Warfare (BEW) supported the Allied war effort through procurement of strategic resources.

When Roosevelt signed an executive order in April 1942 allowing the BEW to negotiate contracts with foreign governments, Secretary Hull saw it as an attempt to create a second Department of State.

Wallace's goals for social justice ran against the grain of Hull's State Department policies. For instance, Wallace was firmly convinced that the Latin American rubber supply could be increased dramatically if the living standards of that region's rubber workers were raised to reduce the incidence of chronic malnutrition and malaria.

He attempted to force negotiated contracts to provide for socially beneficial improvements to the Latin American infrastructure, with the United States funding half the cost of these programs. Wallace's acquisition of executive authority had been unpopular with the rank and file in Congress, and most members supported Hull, a former senator, in his attacks on the BEW and its chairman.

A growing consensus that Wallace had pushed a too active program in Latin America caused Roosevelt to issue another executive order, which preserved the State Department's monopoly on negotiations with foreign governments, a blow aimed directly at Wallace's authority….

 The BEW controversy climaxed in February 1943, when Wallace tried to place the purchasing authority of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) under the BEW's jurisdiction. An infuriated Commerce Secretary Jesse Jones roundly denounced what he considered Wallace's arrogant action.

When Wallace retaliated by accusing Jones of delaying shipments of quinine to marines dying of malaria, the imbroglio became too hot for Roosevelt to ignore.  The embattled vice president wrote to the president, asking for either complete vindication for his actions in the matter or relief of his duties as chairman of the BEW. Roosevelt responded on July 15, 1943, by dissolving the BEW…

In 1943 Wallace made an official tour of Costa Rica, Panama, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. At every stop he took pains to meet the common people and converse with them in their native tongue. He traveled without a large entourage and refused to accept costly ceremonial gifts.

The images of bitter suffering and poverty that he encountered in these underdeveloped countries convinced Wallace of the need for U.S. humanitarian aid and strengthened his resolve to struggle for a lasting postwar peace.

In 1944 the president asked Wallace to make an even more ambitious and dangerous trip to China and the Soviet Union. Historians continue to speculate on whether Roosevelt expected Wallace to accomplish anything diplomatically or simply wanted the vice president out of the country while preparing to dump him from the Democratic ticket…

Growing hostility between the executive branch and the conservatively oriented Congress finally convinced FDR that Wallace had become an expensive political liability…

Nonetheless, at the 1944 Democratic convention in Chicago, Wallace showed surprising popularity among the delegates, threatening to ruin the Democratic leadership's carefully orchestrated plan to dump him. After his rousing speech, cheering delegates began to shout for "Wallace in '44."

The convention chairman, Indiana Senator Samuel D. Jackson, noted the crowd's enthusiasm and feared that Wallace might win on the first ballot. He therefore called for an adjournment until the next day…  Although the nays drowned out the ayes on the motion, the chairman declared the session adjourned.

The next day, the delegates selected Senator Truman for vice president. Jubilant Democratic leaders later boasted of their role in the affair.

Party chairman Hannegan told friends that his epitaph should read, "Here lies the man who kept Henry Wallace from being President of the United States…."

Eighty-two days after Wallace left office as vice president, Franklin Roosevelt died, making Harry Truman president. Truman's administration took a decidedly hard-line turn against the Soviet Union, a policy that, coupled with the increasing influence of conservatives in Truman's cabinet, confounded and alienated Wallace…

In a speech at Madison Square Garden in September 1946, Wallace warned that American foreign policy towards Russia could lead to a third world war.

So Senator Truman was chosen as FDR’s Vice President against the will of the delegates and the American people. The British spy ring, led by Dahl, made sure that Wallace was not re-nominated for Vice President.

A ferocious fight broke out in Chicago between the supporters of Vice President Wallace and the supporters of Jimmy Byrnes. Everybody seemed to know that Roosevelt would not survive his 4th term so his Vice President would become President…

Jimmy Byrnes was one of the few people at the Convention who knew that a new deadly weapon called the atomic bomb was under development. This weapon could change the course of the war . . . and its sole possessor could rule the world unchallenged…

Truman came to the Convention as an ardent Byrnes supporter and he had no real Presidential ambitions....Commander-in-chief Roosevelt could not make a decision so Truman was nominated by default.

Having failed to gain the nomination, Jimmy Byrnes left the Convention in disgust....his Presidential ambitions were still very much alive . . . and there was another door to the Presidency: the office of Secretary of State.

Jimmy Byrnes became Truman's Secretary of State!!

Just 2 hours after the assassination, senator Harry Truman visited the White House to be sworn in as the new President.

By appointing Jimmy Byrnes as Secretary of State, Truman was putting his own life at risk. Here is the order of succession to the Presidency as it stood in 1945:

Truman knew absolutely nothing about the atomic bomb . . . as Roosevelt had failed completely to keep him in the loop…

In order to prevent President Truman from meeting with the atomic scientists, he was sent out of the country to Potsdam, Germany, to meet with Stalin and Churchill. Unlike Roosevelt, who flew to his meetings, Truman left by slow moving ship on July 6, and did not return until August 7—the day after the bombing of Hiroshima…

In January 1947, President Truman took a momentous step and fired Jimmy Byrnes. Congress finally passed the succession act in 1947, and this removed the Secretary of State from 3rd in line for the Presidency:

In an interview on Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, David Talbot discussed his new book The Devil’s Chessboard claims that Alan Dulles, Eisenhower’s CIA Director, was complicit in the CIA’s assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

but Dulles … continued to sort of set up an anti-Kennedy government in exile in his home in Georgetown. Many of the people he was meeting with, several of the people, including Howard Hunt and others, later became figures of suspicion during the House Select Committee on Assassination hearings in Washington in the 1970s…

But the Congress reopened the investigation into John Kennedy’s assassination, and they did determine he was killed as the result of a conspiracy.

"The weekend of Kennedy’s assassination, Allen Dulles is not at home watching television like the rest of America," Talbot said. "He’s at a remote CIA facility, two years after being pushed out of the agency by Kennedy, called The Farm, in northern Virginia, that he used when he was director of the CIA as a kind of an alternate command post..."

Well, he’s there while Kennedy is killed, after Kennedy is killed, when Jack Ruby then kills Lee Harvey Oswald. That whole fateful weekend, he’s hunkered down in a CIA command post. So, there are many odd circumstances like this.

I also found out from interviewing the children of another former CIA official that one of the key figures of interest in the Kennedy assassination, a guy named William Harvey, who was head of the CIA-Mafia plot against Castro and hated the Kennedys…

This is a remarkable sighting, because to place someone like William Harvey, the head of the CIA’s assassination unit, put there by Allen Dulles, in Dallas in November of '63 before the assassination is a very important fact.

The latest news of the Cruz and Kasich campaigns colluding to deny Trump the candidacy by divvying up the delegates in the upcoming states has been overshadowed breaking news.  Ted Cruz’ father Rafael Cruz was a CIA agent and part of the Kennedy assassination plot.  From Reclaim our Republic:

My, my, my.  Seems things have come full circle, the Bush Crime family’s plans to install Jeb into the White House was disrupted by Donald Trump.  Trump, a millionaire like FDR and JFK can’t be bought off by the corporate fascists that Vice President Henry Wallace warned America about in 1943.

The CIA that the Bush Crime family and their cronies created in 1946, crafted in the image of Hitler’s Nazi’s is stronger than ever, but Trump has exposed the cockroaches and have an aversion to sunlight.

1975 GOP to New York City “Drop Dead” 2016 GOP to Puerto Rico “Drop Dead”

On Thursday April 14 Donald Trump spoke at the New York State Republican Gala.  The GOP candidate for President gave the best speech of his 2016 campaign recalling Republican President Gerald Ford and the GOP’s stance on a financially ailing New York City in 1975, “Drop Dead.”  From Bloomberg:

“It's great to be back in New York,” Trump told the audience of 800 guests at the $1,000-a-plate New York State Republican Gala at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Midtown Manhattan…

His 23-minute speech was packed with stories about his real estate ventures and what he described as his magic touch for succeeding where others had failed to rehabilitate a struggling city. He began in the mid-1970s, when the Grand Hyatt was built during a fiscal crisis.

“The city was dead,” Trump said, recalling the front page of the Daily News in 1975 that turned President Gerald Ford's refusal to send aid into an outrage: “FORD TO CITY: DROP DEAD…”

Gerald Ford the hapless Republican President came to office after Republican President Richard Nixon resigned rather than be impeached and prosecuted for massive corruption in the Executive Office. 

Ford, a 25 year veteran Republican congressman from Michigan, became America’s first unelected President.  Ford was first appointed to the Vice Presidency vacated by Nixon’s Veep Spiro Agnew who had resigned in disgrace after facing charges of accepting bribes and evading taxes.  Ford’s first action as President was to pardon Richard Nixon ensuring he would never be prosecuted for his crimes.

In 1975 New York City was on the verge of financial collapse after years of war in Vietnam (1955-1975) and congressional and presidential impotence.   From President Profiles:

That was 41 years ago, I guess the more things change the more they stay the same.  Now in 2016 the GOP is saying to Puerto Rico “Drop Dead.”  From New York Daily News:

Republican leaders in Congress told Puerto Rico’s nearly bankrupt government to drop dead on Tuesday.

Despite feverish efforts by the White House and congressional Democrats to insert a provision into the federal spending bill that would allow the Caribbean island territory to tackle its massive $72 billion debt through bankruptcy restructuring, top Republicans in the Senate scuttled it at the last minute.

“The hedge funds won, they got their way in Congress,” said Richard Ravitch, New York’s former lieutenant governor…

Puerto Rico governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla should tell Congress, bondholders and hedge funds: "Puerto Rico can't pay what it doesn't have."

Last week, it appeared that confrontation could be avoided. New York Sen. Chuck Schumer expressed optimism that a bipartisan compromise to aid Puerto Rico could be reached…

On Monday, Schumer and Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) huddled late into the night with three top GOP leaders — Sens. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee; Orrin Hatch, chairman of the Finance Committee; and Lisa Murkowski, chairwoman of the Energy Committee — and their top aides to find common ground.

But Grassley was adamant, according to two participants in the meeting, that he didn’t want to extend municipal bankruptcy laws to Puerto Rico, a right the 50 states already have….

“The bottom line is that neither Chapter 9 (normal municipal bankruptcy) nor Super Chapter 9 (the territorial alternative) do anything to help Puerto Rico’s spending problems, which are the crux of the issue,” Foy said. 

Why are the Republicans digging in their heels and refusing to bail out Puerto Rico?  From HedgeClippers:

As 2015 came to an end, there was much speculation about the January 1st deadline for Puerto Rico to pay its creditors…

To pay back its creditors, Puerto Rico has resorted to extreme measures including delaying tax refunds to its citizens,[4] increasing sales tax by more than 50%,[5] and instituting massive cuts to education, healthcare, and social services.

Unsurprisingly, Puerto Rico’s most disenfranchised populations (including Medicaid and Medicare enrollees, incarcerated people, and families with special needs children) are shouldering the burden of those measures.

The crisis is driving more Puerto Ricans off the island and onto the mainland, fueling an ongoing “population swap”[6] in which unemployed, young Puerto Ricans leave the island in search of work, while hundreds of wealthy Americans move onto to the island because the “Millionaire’s Law”[7]and other policies have turned it into a “fiscal paradise” for the wealthy….[8]

Meanwhile, wealthy financiers are flocking to the island to take advantage of tax exemptions and cuts on corporate taxes, personal income, and capital gains.[11]

At a recent investment conference, billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson predicted Puerto Rico would become the “Singapore of the Caribbean”[12] –that is, an extremely wealthy tax haven.

This report details how, in order to pay back its creditors, the Puerto Rican government has implemented a severe austerity budget that is is creating a humanitarian crisis on the island and threatening Puerto Ricans’ access to basic services including healthcare, education, and even electricity.

Meanwhile, the hedge funds that reportedly own nearly 50% of Puerto Rico’s debt continue using vulture tactics to win as big a payday as possible at the expense of Puerto Ricans….[13]

Bingo, the GOP is telling Puerto Rico to “Drop Dead” so their hedge fund vultures can pick their bones clean and set up shop in a “fiscal paradise.”  So is Puerto Rico’s Governor going to take the advice of Richard Ravitch and tell the hedge funds who own nearly 50% of their debt "Puerto Rico can't pay what it doesn't have?" I guess so.

The GOP is pulling every dirty trick in the book to deny the American people the right to choose their presidential candidates.  They are trying to shoe horn in Ted Cruz with parlor tricks designed to steal delegates from Donald Trump.

Cruz, the unnatural born American citizen has judge shopped around and found a New Jersey Judge to declare him a “natural born American citizen” eligible to be President of the United States.  The case will go to the Supreme Court for final determination.  From WEBCommentary:

Judge Masin Cannot Make Ted Cruz a Natural Born US Citizen

"A New Jersey judge has declared Sen. Ted Cruz is constitutionally eligible to be president of the United States….

Judge Masin relied on a 1898 Supreme Court Wong Kim Ark, in which the Fourteenth Amendment and English common law resulted in a determination that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States."

However, the Constitution distinguishes between United States citizens and natural born United States citizens.

Law professor Victor Williams and others challenged Cruz’s certificate of eligibility to be on the New Jersey ballot.

They argued that Cruz’s Canadian birth certificate on public record "incontrovertibly proves, that he was, and is, a natural-born Canadian” and that "[i]t simply a physical impossibility for him to be both a natural-born Canadian and a natural-born American.”

Cruz's lawyers argued that it is “inconceivable that the Framers intended to exclude a U.S. citizen at birth from holding the office of president, simply because of where he or she happened to be born."

What IS inconceivable is that the Framers would have considered Cruz to be a natural born United Statesw citizen. They would not have considered him a United States citizen….

Politicians often try to be all things, but Cruz is not both a natural born and naturalized United States citizen and the Canadian citizenship which he did not renounce until after becoming the first Canadian elected to the United States citizen is the kind of problem the "natural born Citizen" requirement was included to avoid.

Judge Masin noted "that the parliamentary legislation recognized in Blackstone and presumably known to the founders that declared children born abroad to English-subject fathers to be natural born subjects did not provide that the children born abroad whose mother was the sole English subject parent were 'natural-born.'"

Judge Masin conceded that "an originalist interpretation 'would almost certainly' see the father-only distinction as one that the Supreme Court would today uphold."

Nevertheless, he opined: "such an outcome seems to be at complete odds with contemporary understandings of equal protection as it is hard to discern any rational basis that would favor the child of father over child of the mother…

That analysis is fundamentally flawed.

Judge Masin did not note it in his opinion, but It was not until 1934 that mothers were empowered to transmit United States citizen to their children." The "contemporary understandings of equal protection" relied upon by Judge Masin are not relevant to what "natural born Citizen" as used in the Constitution means.

No evidence is cited for the proposition that the Fourteenth Amendment was intended to change the understanding of what "natural born Citizen" as used in the Constitution meant, because the Fourteenth Amendment was NOT intended to amend the Constitution's"natural born Citizen requirement." 

Accordingly, the Fourteenth Amendment should not be misused based on "contemporary understandings of equal protection."

Ha ha what a laugh.  The Fourteenth Amendment that states that a child born in the United States, even if the parents aren’t citizens, is a natural born citizen has been attacked by the GOP for years.  They have called these natural born citizens “anchor babies.”  From NPR:

To have a child in America, they cross the border, they go to an emergency room, have a child and that child is automatically an American citizen. That shouldn't be the case — that attracts people here for all the wrong reasons."

Graham has been joined by other leading Republicans, including Sen. John McCain of Arizona and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, in calling for Senate hearings on whether changes to the 14th Amendment are needed….

Many refer to these children of illegal immigrants as "anchor babies."

But now they claim that unnatural born Ted Cruz is a natural born American because the Fourteenth Amendment changed the meaning of “natural born.”  What a joke.

At the Republican Gala in New York where Donald Trump reminded New Yorkers that it was  Republican President Gerald Ford and the GOP who told New York City to “drop dead” in 1975,  Ted Cruz also gave a speech.

Cruz got little reaction when he opened his speech by saying, “I will tell you I haven’t built any buildings in New York City, but I have spent my entire life defending the Constitution of the United States.”

Several minutes into Cruz's speech, many in the audience were flat-out ignoring him, conversing loudly at their tables.

Trump is almost certain to crush his rivals in the New York primary on Tuesday….  He’s polling at higher than 50 percent with GOP voters here, more than 30 points ahead of Kasich, who’s at 22 percent in the RealClearPolitics rolling average of polls, and Cruz, who’s at 18 percent.

But instead of coasting to the nomination on his victories in primaries and caucuses, Trump is scrambling to build a competitive delegate-hunting machine by spending money and hiring fresh national political talent.

Meanwhile, Cruz continues to shoehorn his most loyal supporters into delegate slots, trying to increase the odds of a contested convention, his only realistic chance of winning the nomination.

In 1975 the GOP said to New York “Drop Dead” but Donald Trump took on the GOP and rebuilt New York into a prosperous thriving city that is the envy of the world.  In 2016 the GOP is telling the Puerto Rican people “Drop Dead.”  The GOP will do anything to stop Donald Trump from rebuilding America. 

Donald Trump has won millions more votes cast by the American people than Cruz and Kasich combined.  The GOP is trying to deny Trump the candidacy based on delegate votes.  Delegate votes are cast by party insiders to overturn the will of the voters. 

If Trump is denied the nomination at the Republican convention in Cleveland, he will run as a third party candidate.  Then finally the American people can tell the GOP “Drop Dead.”
