Trump campaign chair Manafort indicted to cover CIA’s overthrow of Ukraine

Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s ex-campaign manager, has been indicted for colluding with Russia during the 2016 election.  To understand the charges against Paul Manafort, that incidentally have nothing to do with the Donald Trump campaign, you must look at the CIA’s overthrow of the elected government of Ukraine. 

According to Wikipedia “Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych is a Ukrainian politician who was elected as the fourth President of Ukraine on February 7, 2010 in an election that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe called transparent and honest.”

Well there’s nothing America’s “elected” government hates more than transparent and honest elections.  We haven’t had one since 1996.  So, Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown in 2014 in a CIA and State Department color revolution after he rejected a loan from the IMF for a more favorable deal from Russia. 

The Obama Administration was furious and Senators John McCain, Lindsay Graham as well as Vice President Joe Biden and State Department’s Victoria Nuland all played prominent roles to overthrow of the democratically elected Yanukovych and the installation the billionaire chocolate magnate, Petro Poroshenko as President.    From Press TV:

US ‘involved in criminal activities’ in Ukraine

The Obama administration is “involved in criminal activities” in Ukraine and facilitated last year’s “coup d'état” in Kiev, a former US Senate candidate says.  “They did so in conjunction with neo-Nazi elements in Kiev, they did so at the behest of Israel and the European central banks and the International Monetary Fund (IMF),” said Mark Dankof, who is also a broadcaster and pastor in San Antonio, Texas. 

“And of course this whole situation in Ukraine permitted the United States to continue the encirclement policy of Russia that has been going on since the end of the Cold War ,” he told Press TV on Monday...  Dankof cited Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland who revealed last year that Washington had invested about $5 billion to promote “democracy” in Ukraine.

“The worst aspect of this whole situation is that this [US] government continues to be involved in criminal activities in the eastern part of Ukraine, specifically targeting ethnically Russian people in the major urban areas of the eastern part of that country for genocidal activity,” he said. 

Ties between Washington and Moscow deteriorated last year after pro-Western forces ousted Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014…  The United States and the European Union have imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia, including visa bans and asset freezes.  According to US officials, Washington is considering providing Ukrainian forces with lethal weapons.

Why did the U.S. Government provide lethal weapons to the Neo-Nazi’s to be for genocide against Russian speaking Ukrainians?  How is that promoting democracy? Oh, and that $5 billion Washington spent “promoting democracy in Ukraine”, was recovered when Ukraine’s gold was stolen and shipped in the dead of night to the Federal Reserve Bank in New York.  From 21stCentury Wire:

The Latest Heist: US Quietly Snatches the Ukraine’s Gold Reserves

According to reports out of Kiev (see links below), the US has quietly transfers 33 tons of Ukrainian gold out of the country and back to vaults in the US. Presumably, this sovereign wealth transfer would be counted as partial “collateral” for a fresh round of IMF, US FED, and ECB paper debt that is currently being organised for dumping into the Ukraine’s economic black hole.

Multiple inquiries to US Federal Reserve administrators into the location of the Ukraine’s gold have been met with the proverbial ‘pass the buck’, making tracking and tracking the final resting place of these 33 tonnes very difficult indeed – but one can expect that the NY Fed is probably the institution who has masterminded this financial heist…

It’s worth pointing out here that when NATO sacked Libya in 2011, one of the first items that came into question was the gold in Libya’s state-run central bank. Prior to the NATO takeover of that country, Libya had one of the highest per capita gold reserves in the world, alongside Lebanon, giving Libya a distinct advantage should it carry out former Libyan leader Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi’s long-term financial transition to a gold-backed Libyan Dinar. As you can imagine, this is no longer the case in Tripoli.

Additionally, like Libya, both Syria and Iran are two of the world’s last remaining nation states who both have state-run central banks and gold reserves which fall outside of the world’s private central banking syndicate.

The price of a Washington brutally forced “democracy” is paid in gold.  But I digress, so let’s get back to the indictments against Paul Manafort.  Mueller’s indictments which can be read here, seem to be some thin gruel.  According to Fortune, Paul Manafort offered private briefings about the Trump campaign to a Russian Billionaire close to Putin. Hmmm, here’s the official story:

The email involved an offer for Oleg Deripaska, a wealthy Russian who made his money in the aluminum business.  The July 7, 2016, email came a little over a week before the Republican National Convention, while Manafort was leading the Trump campaign’s day-to-day operations.

The Manafort email exchange regarding Deripaska is one of thousands of pages of material turned over to congressional committees by the Trump campaign…   The email is the first to indicate that Manafort was attempting to reach Deripaska while he was working on the Trump campaign… 

The Associated Press reported in March that before signing with Trump’s campaign, Manafort secretly worked for Deripaska and proposed plans… that he said could “greatly benefit the Putin Government…”   Deripaska sued the AP for defamation over the story in May in U.S. District Court in Washington, alleging the story was inaccurate and hurt his career by falsely accusing him of criminal activity.

Hmmm, seems like a lot of bullshit and suppositions regarding the relationship between Paul Manafort and this Deripaska guy.  This part seems really goofy “before signing with Trump’s campaign, Manafort secretly worked for Deripaska and proposed plans”… that he said could “greatly benefit the Putin Government…”   Really??  That just seems so crazy, so what is the story behind the Deripaska guy?  From The Telegraph:

Analysts believe the Kremlin has saved him from bankruptcy — partly as a reward for his unquestioning loyalty and also to prevent his assets falling into the hands of Western banks… 

Mr Deripaska’s factory is among three upon which the town depends for survival. Mr Putin has floated the idea of renationalising the factories, which were privatised after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Mr Deripaska is an unloved figure in Russia. He was among a number of men who built their fortunes during the chaos of the 1990s. He faces a June 11 deadline to restructure billions of dollars in debt owed to international banks.

Hmmm, Deripaska was billions of dollars in debt to international banks in 2009 when Putin made him pay his workers their back wages and then bailed him out.  Putin did so because it was in Russia’s best interests not to have foreign banks owning a Russian factory.  Now in 2017 Deripaska is suddenly worth 6 billion and he is key to proving Russia collusion charges against Trump? 

Through marriage Deripaska was related to the Deep State’s Russian puppet Yeltsin, maybe there’s a correlation.  From Global Research:

Americans are outraged by allegations that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an intelligence service to hack email accounts of the Democratic National Committee… But does the USA meddle in the presidential elections of other countries?  The answer to the first question, of course, is a resounding Yes…

Let us limit our discussion to one single case.  Readers will recall that in the run-up to the 1996 presidential election in Russia, opinion polls put the pro-western incumbent, Boris Yeltsin, in fifth place among the presidential candidates, with only 8% support.  The same polls showed that the most popular candidate in Russia by a wide margin was the Communist Party’s Gennady Zyuganov.

Moved to desperation by the numbers, well-connected Russian oligarchs suggested just cancelling the election and supporting a military takeover, rather than facing a defeat at the polls.  Neocons in the West embraced the idea–all in the name of Democracy, of course.  In the end, though, Yeltsin and the oligarchs decided to retain power by staging the election.

In keeping with Russian laws at the time, Zyuganov spent less than three million dollars on his campaign.  Estimates of Yeltsin’s spending, by contrast, range from $700 million to $2.5 billion…   In February 1996, at the urging of the United States, the International Monetary Fund… supplied a $10.2 billion “emergency infusion” to Russia.  The money disappeared as Yeltsin used it to shore up his reputation and to buy votes.  He forced the Central Bank of Russia to provide an additional $1 billion for his campaign, too.  Meanwhile, a handful of Russian oligarchs, notably several big contributors residing in Israel, provided more billions for the Yeltsin campaign. 

In the spring of 1996, Yeltsin and his campaign manager, billionaire privatizer Anatoly Chubais, recruited a team of financial and media oligarchs to bankroll the Yeltsin campaign and guarantee favorable media coverage on national television and in leading newspapers.  In return, Chubais allowed well-connected Russian business leaders to acquire majority stakes in some of Russia’s most valuable state-owned assets.

Campaign strategists for the former Republican governor of California Pete Wilson covertly made their way to the President Hotel in Moscow where, behind a guard and locked doors, they served as Yeltsin’s “secret campaign weapon” to save Russia for Democracy...  

It is now public record that the Yeltsin campaign conducted extensive “black operations,” including disrupting opposition rallies and press conferences, spreading disinformation among Yeltsin supporters, and denying media access to the opposition.  Finally, widespread bribery, voter fraud, intimidation, and ballot stuffing assured Yeltsin’s victory in the runoff election…

During Yeltsin’s second term, the “non-ideological” IMF provided another infusion of money, this time $40 billion.  Once again, more billions disappeared without a trace, much of it stolen by the President’s chronies, who placed it in foreign banks… 

Under Yeltsin’s tenure, the death rate in Russia reached wartime levels.  Accidents, food poisoning, exposure, heart attacks, lack of access to basic healthcare, and an epidemic of suicides—they all played a role…  “Western and Russian demographers now agree that between 1992 and 2000, the number of ‘surplus deaths’ in Russia–deaths that cannot be explained on the basis of previous trends–was between five and six million persons…”

By the time he left office, the American-approved President of the Russian Federation had an approval rating of 2%.  But by that time it didn’t matter:  the kleptocrats were safely installed in power, and American-imposed Democracy had achieved its aims in Russia’s “transition.”

That’s right, by the time Yeltsin left office “it didn’t matter because the kleptocrats like Oleg Deripaska were safely installed in power.”  And now Deripaska is the main link between Putin and the Trump Campaign.  Paul Manafort is just a scapegoat.  Manafort has been indicted for interfering with the CIA’s overthrow of the elected government of Ukraine. 

This kangaroo court that will hear the charges against Paul Manafort will be chosen very selectively.  If the Manafort case breaks wide open it will be the CIA, MI6 and the neocons and their minions in Washington who have the most to lose.  I don’t know about you, but I’m making popcorn and pulling up a chair.  This should be interesting.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is a United States law passed in 1938 requiring that agents representing the interests of foreign powers in a "political or quasi-political capacity" disclose their relationship with the foreign government and information about related activities and finances.  Members of our U.S. congress and their staff as well as those occupying high positions in the various cabinets and think tanks, have enriched themselves off American largess leaving America in shambles.  Those members of congress should be required to register as foreign agents so American voters know to whom and where their loyalty lies before we allow them to write and enforce our laws.

Those unregistered foreign agents in congress have passed laws that conflict with American interests and benefit foreign nations.  Every war that has been waged since the overthrow of the American government in 2000 have been launched for the benefit of the right wing genocidal government of Israel and detrimental to America.  Those same members of congress were elected after they pledged their allegiance to AIPAC, The America Israeli Public Affairs Committee.  So it is natural to ask “should AIPAC be required to register as a foreign agent?”  From The American Conservative:

Last week the Senate Judiciary Committee postponed a meeting ostensibly convened to discuss the failure to enforce the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 (FARA). Originally rescheduled for this week, the postponed meeting would have featured Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort testifying about their controversial Trump Tower meeting, but their subpoenas were canceled at the last minute after they arranged to turn over documents…

The Judiciary Committee hearing was originally set up to look at the possible Russian links of former journalist and head of the research firm Fusion GPS Glenn Simpson, who was behind the infamous Trump dossier that appeared in January…

FARA was created in the lead up to World War II to help monitor the activity of Italian, German and Japanese agent-lobbyists who were believed to be working hard in the U.S. to influence opinion as well as congressional votes in favor of their respective sponsoring nations. The intention was to force the “foreign agents” to register with the Department of the Treasury so they would have to identify their government sponsors and be required to reveal their sources of income…

Ironically, the most powerful and effective foreign-government lobby in Washington is so dominant that it has been able to avoid registering for the past 55 years. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was last confronted by FARA when its predecessor organization the American Zionist Council was pressured by John F. Kennedy’s Justice Department in 1962 and 1963. Kennedy’s death stopped that effort—and ended White House attempts to hold Israel accountable for the development of its secret nuclear weapons program (which depended on nuclear material removed illegally from the United States with the connivance of a company located in Pennsylvania called NUMEC).

AIPAC’s website declares that it is “America’s Pro-Israel Lobby,” so by its own admission it functions pretty clearly as Israel’s proxy. It spent $102 million in 2015, had 396 employees in 2013, and claims to have 100,000 members, many of whom are organized into state and city chapters. It also benefits from being a tax exempt 501(c)4 organization classified as promoting “international understanding…”

The last U.S. President to challenge the lobbying efforts by AIPAC was John F. Kennedy who was assassinated, ensuring no other President would dare confront AIPAC who enjoys tax exempt status.

Bought and Paid For 53 Congressional Reps On All Expense Paid Trips To Israel

At least 53 Congressional representatives are on a week-long trip to Israel, paid for by the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), an arm of the powerful lobbying group AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee).

AIEF’s budget is approximately $80 million, which it uses to take diverse groups to Israel. More than a dozen Latino leaders from the Southwest U.S. have just returned from an AIEF funded five-day trip to Israel that ended Aug 6, and a trip for top political operatives was conducted in June.

The Tampa Bay Times reports about the Congressional trips: “AIPAC gets around restrictions on privately paid travel by using the educational arm, an arrangement government watchdogs have criticized.”  “A decade ago, the House banned groups from paying for extended trips as part of the fallout from the scandal over lobbyist Jack Abramoff. But a loophole allowed educational foundations to pick up the tab. The Israel trips are estimated at $10,000 per person.

“Members of Congress feel indebted to someone who provides them with a week’s long vacation. It’s lobbying and it’s more effective than direct lobbying on Capitol Hill,” Craig Holman of the watchdog group Public Citizen, who helped draft the 2007 laws, told the Tampa Bay Times in 2013.  He said the loophole has been steadily abused and privately-paid travel is back to pre-reform levels.

“This is not what lobbying should be about,” Holman said. “It should be about providing information and expertise so lawmakers can make better decisions, not trying to buy their favors with gifts and travel junkets.”

Hmmm, lobbing should not be about “trying to buy favors with gifts and travel junkets” and yet that is exactly what is being done by these unregistered foreign agents.  Time and again the unregistered foreign agents in our congress reward those who pay for those perks.  From The Independent:

45 senators support bill that makes boycotting Israel a crime

A bill that would criminalise boycotts against Israel has been signed by 45 US senators and 237 congressman.  The so-called “Israel Anti-Boycott Act” would impose fines of up to $250,000 (£192,000) on any US citizen “engaged in interstate or foreign commerce” who supports a boycott of Israeli goods and services.

However, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has argued that the bill would “impose civil and criminal punishment on individuals solely because of their political beliefs about Israel and its policies”, in a letter sent to members of the Senate.  “In short, the bill would punish businesses and individuals solely based on their point of view,” it wrote. “Such a penalty is in direct violation of the First Amendment…”

Still, the bill – reportedly drafted with the help of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) – has received widespread bipartisan support…

Even liberal-leaning senators like Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Maria Cantwell of Washington, and representatives like Adam Schiff of Massachusetts, have signed on to the legislation.  Conservatives like Senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida also support it.

Not all of congressional unregistered foreign agents went to Israel on an all-expenses paid vacation, some remained at home and faced the scorn of the American people.  From TheIntercept:

SENATORS PROMISE TO AMEND ISRAEL BOYCOTT BILL AFTER BACKLASH

THE LEAD AUTHOR of the controversial Israel Anti-Boycott Act, Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, is open to amending the legislation to address concerns raised by the American Civil Liberties Union, he told The Intercept Monday evening.

The ACLU warned last week that the measure, which targets the BDS movement, was unconstitutional and would have a chilling effect on free speech. In the wake of that warning, and a subsequent article by The Intercept, co-sponsors of the bill have begun to re-examine their support for it.

Cardin said that the ACLU had misinterpreted his legislation, but if it needed to be clarified, he would take the steps to do so. “A lot of the co-sponsors are pretty strongly committed to the freedom of speech,” Cardin said. “We’re certainly sensitive to the issues they raise. If we have to make it clearer, we’ll make it clearer…”

One issue of contention is whether criminal penalties such as a 20-year prison sentence would apply to those who violate the law…

On Monday night, in an op-ed in the Washington Post, two top officials at the ACLU stood by their legal interpretation. “Violations would be punishable by civil and criminal penalties of up to $1 million and 20 years in prison,” write David Cole and Faiz Shakir, the ACLU’s legal and political directors, respectively…

“We thought we only dealt with civil penalties, not criminal penalties,” Cardin told The Intercept…   If the bill were amended to clarify that no criminal penalties could be applied, violators would still face a $250,000 civil fine or more...

Co-sponsors of the bill have faced pressure at home to explain support for a bill with such language in it. Rep. Joe Kennedy III, D-Mass., is reviewing the bill in the light of the ACLU’s concerns, as are Democratic Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Maria Cantwell of Washington, Ron Wyden of Oregon, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.

Well isn’t that special, our unregistered foreign agents in congress didn’t understand what was in the AIPAC written bill before they passed it.  The tragic part of this is that it’s not just Israel, they put the interests of other nations before America all the time.  You might say that our congress is for sale to the highest bidder.

After accepting lavish gifts and trips, congress has stripped our public schools of funds to endow Turkish terrorist Fathullah Gülen with H1B visas to man his American taxpayer funded charter schools across America. ~~ Down the Rabbit Hole

When reading about the AIPAC all-expenses paid trip to Israel that members of congress are taking on their August vacation it brought to mind another foreign based group that paid for all-expenses paid trips that resulted in a deluge of H1B visas in return for the perks. From USA Today:

Turkish faith movement secretly funded 200 trips for lawmakers and staff

A Turkish religious movement has secretly funded as many as 200 trips to Turkey for members of Congress and staff since 2008, apparently repeatedly violating House rules and possibly federal law, a USA TODAY investigation has found.

The group — a worldwide moderate Islamic movement led by a religious scholar named Fethullah Gülen…  A dozen different Gülen groups have sponsored congressional travel since 2008 and have filed forms with the House certifying that they were paying for the trips. The House Ethics Committee approved all the trips in advance based on the forms the Gülen groups submitted…

Congressional disclosures show the Gülen-backed trips totaled more than $800,000 in free travel for lawmakers and staff. That number likely underestimates the costs since many of the in-country expenses were not reported…

One Gülen group, the Texas-based Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians, sponsored trips for three lawmakers and seven staff members in 2011, filing disclosures claiming it was the sole sponsor of the trips at a total cost of about $54,000. But the same organization filed an IRS tax form that year claiming it spent only $33,000 on travel with no expenditures for the travel of public officials.

In August 2013, Rep. Mike Honda, D-Calif., took an eight-day trip to Turkey sponsored by the Pacifica Institute, which claimed on congressional disclosure forms to be an IRS-recognized non-profit covering the $5,700 cost of the trip. But the IRS has no record of Pacifica being a recognized non-profit…

The House Office of Congressional Ethics issued a report earlier this month finding that BAKIAD had secretly funded the Turkish leg of a trip to Azerbaijan taken by 10 members of Congress and 32 staff…

In June 2012, a Gülen organization called the Istanbul Center sponsored a nine-day, four-city Turkish visit for Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., his wife, Martha, and four staff members for a total of about $23,000…

USA TODAY identified 214 congressional trips sponsored by Gülen organizations that appear to be improperly disclosed…

And the movement has clearly benefited from making friends in Congress.

In February 2015, Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., organized colleagues to send a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry seeking his help in defending Gülenist journalists who had been arrested by the Turkish government as part of the battle between Gülen and Erdogan…

Salmon had taken a Gülen-funded trip to Turkey in 2014; Honda, Brooks and five other lawmakers who had taken Gülen-funded trips also signed the letter, as did 23 members who had approved Gülen-backed trips for their staff…

My, my.  Yes, our unregistered foreign agents in our government, do not abide by any of the laws they pass.  And, while the movement benefitted from their bribes in getting congress to intervene with the Secretary of State on Gulen’s behalf, that is just a drop in the bucket of what Gulen received from congress.  From Center for Immigration Studies.

Are the H-1B-Using Gulen Charter Schools About to Face Hard Times?

Off in a small corner of the immigration policy world there is an intriguing side-show – it is a battle which pits one group of conservatives against another in a fascinating contest that the mainstream media has all but ignored.

In one corner there is a player as reactionary as they come, the Islamic president/dictator of Turkey; in the other is a conservative Islamic religious leader, another Turk, and his allies in the American charter school movement…

Gulen's followers in the U.S. have created a series of charter schools which use public school moneys, via staff extortions, to support the cult's activities. The Gulen schools, which have also used political contributions to shore up their position, are charters, and, as such, are sheltered by conservatives promoting charters generally…

In spite of the presence of tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands of unemployed U.S.-trained teachers, Gulen's schools continue to use local tax funds to secure H-1B visas for, and to provide wages for, teachers from Turkey, including in a few cases English teachers, as we have reported previously.

Why are the Gulen schools so interested in recruiting Turkish teachers (and often paying them more than U.S. teachers in the same schools)? To some extent it is a Tammany Hall sort of nepotism – let's use public funds to help our landsmen – but there is another apparent motive. According to a long, detailed, and stinging report by LA Weekly, there is a highly organized, systematic shake-down of Turkish teachers to benefit Gulen cult organizations…

Here you have members of congress engorging Fathullah Gulen with H1B visas to supply teachers from Turkey to teach in his American taxpayer funded charter schools.  While thousands of American teachers are unemployed, the Turkish teachers are paid more than American teachers because they have to pay a kickbacks to Gulen to fund his cult organizations with American taxpayer dollars.

Congress, in their furor to remove Donald Trump from office planned to charge Donald Jr. and Paul Manafort for being in violation of the Foreign Agent Registration Act.  What a joke.  But this is all connected because Donald Trump along with General Flynn were about to shut down the Gulen gravy train.

All of this may be about to change because of one of President-elect Trump's appointments. According to the Daily Caller:

An intelligence consulting firm founded by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's top military adviser, was recently hired as a lobbyist by an obscure Dutch company with ties to Turkey's government and its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Further, we know that President Erdogan has joined Donald Trump at one or more hotel opening ceremonies in Turkey; this was well before the presidential campaign. So Gen. Flynn, who is known to be opposed to Gulen, and who is soon to be the National Security Adviser to the President, might well let it be known in government circles that he has no opposition at all to Gulen school administrators being indicted.

That, combined with the wealth of evidence on these schools' finances, might just change matters.

Well, well, well.  Now we know why General Flynn had to go.  Not only was he a threat to the Gulen terror network, he was a threat to the unregistered foreign agents in our government who seek to destroy the American people while they enrich themselves. 

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is a United States law passed in 1938 requiring that agents representing the interests of foreign powers in a "political or quasi-political capacity" disclose their relationship with the foreign government and information about related activities and finances. 

According to FARA our entire government is in violation of the FARA laws. President Trump, fire H.R. McMaster and restore General Flynn.  Don’t stop there, fire Mike Pompeo, fire Jeff Sessions, fire FBI Director McCaul and drain the swamp.  But most importantly Revolt America!   Stand behind your president demand the cabinet resign and Trump restore his original picks.

It has been a red letter day in America, is there any tidbit of Democracy still alive in the experiment called America?  We have spy agencies who operate in an extrajudicial manner answering to no one.  This has been occurring for a very long time in America but what is different now is the confluence of the two-parties with big media to destroy our freedoms. 

The erosion of Democracy began on December 12, 2000 when five corrupt Republicans on the Supreme Court overturned the results of the 2000 election and installed George W. Bush as president.  Three days later the U.S. Senate voted for The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 that deregulated over the counter derivatives trading.  The CFMA was signed into law December 15, 2000.  The first official action by President Bush was to seal the presidential papers of his father, George Herbert Walker Bush.  From Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press:

A coalition of historians and open government advocates, including The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and Public Citizen, filed a lawsuit in federal district court in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 28, 2001. National Archives and Records Administration, the coalition contends that the executive order illegally circumvents the Presidential Records Act of 1968 and asks for an injunction preventing the order from being enforced.

Remember the CIA’s abhorrently sadistic torture program? You might — but obtaining the original copy of the report on its nefarious practice won’t be possible. As The Free Thought Project reported on May 17, 2016,  “[T]he CIA inspector general’s office recently admitted to ‘mistakenly’ destroying their only copy of the classified report. Although CIA Director John Brennan possesses another copy of the torture report, he refuses to send a replacement to the internal watchdog’s office.

“Last summer, the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Justice Department were privately informed that CIA employees at the inspector general’s office had both destroyed the disk and deleted the file containing the full Senate Torture Report. Despite the fact that the Justice Department ordered all copies of the classified document to be preserved, acting CIA Inspector General Christopher Sharpley was unable to locate another copy and eventually informed the Senate Intelligence Committee that his officers has mistakenly ruined their only copies...”

Award-winning investigative journalist and current editor of Consortiumnews, Robert Parry, penned an article in 2000 concerning a 1976 car bombing in Washington, D.C.’s highbrow Embassy Row — about which the agency created a fake report to throw off the feds and further its own agenda.

“In early fall of 1976,” Parry wrote, “after a Chilean government assassin had killed a Chilean dissident and an American woman with a car bomb in Washington, D.C., George H.W. Bush’s CIA leaked a false report clearing Chile’s military dictatorship and pointing the FBI in the wrong direction…

“In a 21-page report to Congress on Sept. 18, 2000, the CIA officially acknowledged for the first time that the mastermind of the terrorist attack, Chilean intelligence chief Manuel Contreras, was a paid asset of the CIA...”

Perhaps it should be asked, what else could George Herbert Walker Bush — and the CIA — be hiding?

It’s been my experience that when you make a mistake the benefits yourself you’re likely to make that mistake over again.  Under the direction of John Brennan those torture reports were “mistakenly” eliminated.  Odd isn’t it?  The transition from the Bush Administration to the Obama Administration was seamless.  Obama kept a lot of the same people in the intelligence agencies, State Department and Defense Department from the Bushes. 

Both Administrations hated the Clintons as well as Donald Trump, so is it any wonder that both Hillary and Donald were surveilled by the Obama Administration?  Today it was revealed that the Trump transition team was under surveillance by the Obama Administration and information gleaned from that investigation was illegally disseminated across the intelligence apparatus.  From The Daily Mail:

Nunes told reporters on Capitol Hill that the information collected was 'legally collected' pursuant to a warrant issued by a FISA judge in a federal court, and concerned 'foreign' surveillance - before he went to the White House to tell the president.

He said 'it's possible' that the now-president's personal communications were among those which were part of the 'incidental' collection - but did not say definitively if that was the case.  But that 'did not involve Russia or any discussions with Russians,' Nunes said, adding that he was 'alarmed' to learn what he did.

The surveillance would have occurred while Obama was still president. Nunes said he could not rule out the involvement of senior Obama administration officials.  Standing in front of the White House, the Republican lawmaker told reporters: 'This is information that was brought to me that I thought the president needed to know about incidental collection where the president himself and others in the Trump transition team were clearly put into intelligence reports that ended up at this White House and across a whole bunch of other agencies, and I thought it was important for the president to know…'

So disturbed was the House intel chairman by the reports he says he saw, he came to the White House straight away to brief the president - after first holding a news conference on Capitol Hill with reporters.  'What I have read bothers me, and I think it should bother the president himself and his team because I think some of it seems to be inappropriate,' Nunes said after his sit-down with Trump.

The statement was in response to a question about the nature of the surveillance. Nunes said it had 'nothing to do' with Russia or the FBI's Russian investigation, prompting an inquiry as to whether he thought it was politically motivated. He did not answer in the affirmative, yet he did not bat the suggestion down.

So the surveillance had “nothing to do with Russia or the FBI’s Russian investigation” then why were the names of individuals in the Trump transition team “unmasked” and disseminated across the intelligence apparatus?”  Why did James Comey deny any surveillance took place and who is James Comey anyway?  From Common Sense:

Don’t forget it was Comey who ensured a Hillary Clinton defeat by announcing he had reopened his investigation into her ten days before the election.  Hillary Clinton had planned to restructure the Federal Reserve Bank, something the banking cartels didn’t want.   But there’s more news.  Former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort has been accused of working for Vladimir Putin.  This is not a new allegation, I wrote about it in my blog last August.

The CIA controlled American media is touting “handwritten” ledgers showing $12.7 million in so-called undisclosed cash payments Manafort received from Yanukovych from 2007 to 2012.  The documents were provided by the “newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau” in Poroshenko’s Ukraine. 

While the “handwritten” ledgers are not official government documents, they are being used to accuse Manafort of being a Russian backed evil doer, proof the Trump campaign is backed by Russia.  Charge up the batteries on your “bullshit” detectors America because you are going to need them.

The allegations are coming from an official from Ukraine’s illegitimate government that was installed by Washington after a CIA backed coup removed their democratically elected President Yanukovych.  Ten years ago, Paul Manafort worked for the Ukrainian government.

Yes these bogus charges are nothing new, the only thing new is that candidate Trump is now President Trump.  But the neoliberal Tom Friedman and the Democrats are now calling for a “Palace Coup” against Donald Trump.  From World Socialist Website:

On Wednesday, New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman addressed an open letter to a group of generals, deep state operatives and a corporate executive in President Trump’s cabinet, effectively calling on them to organize a palace coup.

The recipients of Friedman’s letter, code-named “Calling On a Few Good Men,” are three generals—Secretary of Defense James Mattis, National Security Adviser H. R. McMaster and Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly—along with CIA Director Mike Pompeo and the former oil tycoon and current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Using the language of a political toady, Friedman’s column begins: “Dear Sirs, I am writing you today as the five adults with the most integrity in the Trump administration. Mattis, McMaster and Kelly, you all served our nation as generals in battle. Pompeo, you graduated first in your class at West Point and served as a cavalry officer.”

He continues, “I am writing you directly because I believe you are the last ‘few good men’ who can stand up” to Trump. Referring to the impeachment of Richard Nixon, Friedman declares, “The last time our country faced such a cancer on the presidency, the Republican Party’s leadership stood up and put country before party to get to the truth.” But today’s Republican Party has “declared moral bankruptcy” and “abdicated its responsibility.”

Combining flattery with self-abasement, he continues, “I ask those of you who honored our country as military officers how you would have reacted if your commanding officer had charged his predecessor with a high crime that violated his constitutional oath…

Friedman gives voice to tendencies in and around the Democratic Party that are prepared, in pursuit of their McCarthyite-style demonization of Russia, to welcome a palace coup that would impose a military/intelligence/corporate junta on the American people. The wealthy and corrupt social layers for whom the millionaire columnist speaks are motivated by two primary concerns.

First, that Trump is threatening US imperialist interests around the world by backing away from the Obama administration’s war-mongering policies toward Russia, and at the same time undermining the image of the US internationally with his overt lying and bullying of Washington’s allies…

He cites US imperialist strategist Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, who warns that without an urgent course correction, the US could find itself “not with America first, but with America alone.”

The second major concern is that Trump is stoking popular discontent at home that could spiral out of control and threaten the entire economic and political system… the Democratic Party is fixated on avoiding at all costs the emergence of a movement of the working masses. That is why it appeals to the military/intelligence apparatus and the corporate aristocracy in its struggle with the faction of the ruling class represented by Trump.

Loren DeJonge Schulman, a former Obama National Security Council official, claimed to be repelled by the very idea of an American Deep State. “A deep state, when you’re talking about Turkey or Egypt or other countries, that’s part of government or people outside of government that are literally controlling the direction of the country no matter who’s actually in charge, and probably engaging in murder and other corrupt practices,” she said…

Apparently, Ms. Schulman did not consider it murder when Obama and his top national security advisors met every Tuesday at the White House to decide who would be assassinated by drone or other means. But she is “shocked” to hear “that kind of [Deep State-phobic] thinking from” President Trump “or the people closest to him.”

In reality, the U.S. Deep State is by far the world’s biggest and most dangerous version of the phenomenon; a monstrous and not-so subterranean “web of common and nefarious purpose” that is, by definition, truly global, since its goal is to rule the planet…

The best way to describe the imperial Deep State is: those individuals and institutions that are tasked with establishing the global supremacy of the corporate ruling class. Such activities must be masked, since they clash with the ideological position of the ruling class, which is that the bourgeois electoral system of the United States is the world’s freest and fairest…

Yes indeed, it has been a red letter day in America, the Deep State rules this country.  The GOP is now rewriting Obama Care to clear a path from the American Treasury directly into the coffers of the Medical Industrial Complex and Big Pharma.  But the main goal of the Deep State is to remove Donald Trump from the Presidency. 

While Big Media ridicules Donald Trump for continuing to take his case to the American worker, Donald Trump is outsmarting the Deep State.  Trump has continued to win, win, win and thus the Deep State is calling on the Generals to oust our elected President and lock down the state to ensure there is no emergence of a movement of the working masses.  Hopefully they are too late.

 The policy to expand NATO by annexing four post-Soviet states within Moscow’s orbit is designed to surround Russia.  Of the four countries, Ukraine was the main prize because of its size, geography and history.  The EU’s trade deal rejected by Yanukovych required allowing Monsanto to take over the agricultural industry in Ukraine.  Ukraine, with the most pristine soil in the world had a law banning the introduction of GM crops.

Other onerous terms of the EU deal included cuts in pensions for retired people of 15 percent, suspension of future pension payments, increased rent for gas production from 20% to 70% and doubling the cost of gas to the average consumer.  In the deal reached with Putin, Moscow would buy $15 billion of Ukrainian government bonds and reduce the price of natural gas exports to the country by 33%. 

After the CIA coup, 33 tons of Ukraine’s gold worth $3 billion dollars was flown to the New York Federal Reserve Bank in an unmarked CIA plane.  Victoria Nuland, PNAC’s point man in Ukraine boasted that it was a nice down payment to the $5 billion the US had spent to overthrow the elected government.  Soon afterward RAND Corp. released their “Plan for Poroshenko,” Ukraine’s newly CIA installed president.

RAND’s 3-stage plan for the newly “liberated” Ukrainian people was first isolation of the people and considering them terrorists until proven otherwise.  Isolation included encircling the region and blocking the flow of goods and persons while shutting down all communications.  Second bombarding the region through ground assaults, airstrikes and possibly chemical and nuclear attacks.  Lastly, once the territory is cleared internment camps with trials and executions for resisters.

A horrified Crimean people, where Russian has had a warm water seaport for over 200 years quickly held a referendum and decided to become part of Russia.  Donald Trump has called for normalization of Russian-American ties.  Paul Manafort, who is Trump’s campaign manager is under assault by the American press for having worked with the Yanukovych Government prior to the coup.
