British intelligence colluded with FBI to defeat Trump in American election

There was collusion to subvert the will of the American voters in the 2016 election alright, but it wasn’t Russia it was Great Britain.  All of the ridiculous charges Theresa May has made against Russia are lies, particularly the latest accusation that the wily Russians chemically poisoned ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.  The scurrilous, reckless lies of the spy agencies are designed to incite World War III.  These spy agencies must be held accountable for their treasonous actions and there needs to be a dismantling the intelligence juggernaut called the 5-Eyes.  From The Guardian:

History of 5-Eyes – explainer

Partnership forged in wartime to monitor enemy radio transmissions now scoops up data about ordinary citizens

During the second world war intelligence officers from Britain and the US would crouch over bulky radio transmitters listening in on crackling enemy exchanges. In the years since then, communications technology has changed drastically – and intelligence gathering is far easier in the digital age.  But despite the changes it is the same agreement that still governs the sharing of signals intelligence between Britain, the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada – known in shorthand as the "5-Eyes" countries…

“In the days when the agreement was put together, your main source of signals was high-frequency radio that could be transmitted for several thousand kilometres around the world, so you had a whole network of stations to monitor HF radio…”

“As communications moved into much much higher of the frequency spectrum with mobile phones and then cell phones, they moved into facilities that could intercept those much shorter range signals, so there has been an evolution which has matched the change in means of communications,” Ball says.

Intelligence gathering has developed even further with digital communication interceptions, and as leaked NSA documents have shown, Australia has been operating listening posts around the Asia-Pacific region, passing data back to the US.

But high-frequency radio transmissions are vastly different from the internet, in both form and purpose. The executive director of the Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre, David Vaile, says the internet should not be seen as a medium designed for this kind of mass data collection.

"With the vast amount of information that's exposed online there is a greater need for more protection," Vaile says.  The original agreement was created to share information about intelligence gathered on foreign countries, not domestic surveillance. But that purpose and the scope of the intelligence being gathered also appears to have changed…

The 1946 agreement specifically related to "foreign intelligence", which is defined as "all communications of the government or of any military, air, or naval force, faction, party, department, agency, or bureau of a foreign country, or of any person or persons acting or purporting to act therefor, and shall include communications of a foreign country which may contain information of military, political or economic value". It specifically excludes the US, the British Commonwealth and nations, and the British empire from the scope of this sort of information.

But we now know from documents provided by the whistleblower Edward Snowden that the NSA has been able to retain vast amounts of data from Britain and other 5-Eyes nations, allowing information about ordinary citizens to be caught up in the dragnet.

In a draft 2005 directive in the name of the NSA's director of signals intelligence, the agency prepared policies that would enable spying on 5-Eyes partners, even without permission of the other country: “[The March 1946 UKUSA agreement] has evolved to include a common understanding that both governments will not target each other's citizens/persons. However, when it is in the best interest of each nation, each reserved the right to conduct unilateral Comint action against each other's citizens/persons…

This shift in the agreement is what Vaile says is one of the most serious risks, because it helps facilitate spying on the citizens of other parties to the agreement.  "If you actually did want to spy more on the local people then it appears that with co-operation of the other partners this is easier, because they would have the legal right in their own domestic law to treat the citizens of the other countries as foreigners, and that appears to be where the rot has set in."

Yep, that is where “the rot set in" and British and American intelligence agencies began spying on ordinary citizens for political reasons.  After the 911 attacks took place under W. Bush’s watch we were told we needed an Orwellian Homeland Security Agency to coordinate our security efforts.  It’s time to get rid of that boondoggle.  From New Republic:

Excerpt:

Dismantle the Department of Homeland Security

The case for abolishing the wasteful, incompetent, and abusive mega-agency has become especially urgent under Trump.

The Department of Homeland Security’s first problem is its name… “The word ‘homeland’ is a strange word,” Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld mused to his staff in one of his infamous “snowflake” memos in February 2001. “‘Homeland’ Defense sounds more German than American. Also, it smacks of isolationism, which I am uncomfortable with.”

But after the September 11 attacks, the George W. Bush administration rallied around the phrase to describe its anti-terrorism efforts… The White House established an umbrella Office of Homeland Security under former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, then proposed the creation of a massive, Cabinet-level department by the same name to oversee the nation’s domestic security.

It’s now been more than 15 years since the U.S. government reorganized itself in response to a terrorist attack committed by 19 people. International terrorism’s threat to the United States has largely receded: Al-Qaeda is a remnant of its former self, and the Islamic State has been largely defeated in Iraq and Syria. At the same time, the bloated Department of Homeland Security turned into a boondoggle—an opinion shared across the political spectrum for years.

As the tenth anniversary of 9/11 approached, in a paper for the libertarian Cato Institute, David Rittgers argued that the department’s unusually broad mandate is a recipe for waste and inefficiency. “This arrangement has not enhanced the government’s competence,” he wrote. “Americans are not safer because the head of DHS is simultaneously responsible for airport security and governmental efforts to counter potential flu epidemics.”

Matt Mayer, a Homeland Security official under President George W. Bush, argued in 2015 that DHS has too much responsibility. “It goes without saying that I observed up-close the dysfunction, turf battles, and inherent limitations in an entity that does so much,” he wrote in Reason magazine…

Rittgers and Mayer both called for eliminating DHS and distributing its responsibilities among various independent agencies… But the last year has seen the emergence of a deeper problem than mismanagement. Under Trump, some of the department’s agencies have turned openly abusive towards vulnerable members of American society. The case for abolishing DHS has never been more urgent…

Homeland Security has been incompetent, wasteful, redundant, and abusive—and Congress knows it.  The result was a sprawling new federal bureaucracy. In its current form, DHS employs almost a quarter-million people and doles out tens of billions of dollars in grants and programs each year…  In all these efforts, DHS has been either incompetent, wasteful, redundant, or abusive—and Congress knows it…

But lawmakers are hesitant to cut funding for a department designed to fight terrorism, and reports of wasteful spending abound…  A damning 2012 Senate Homeland Security Committee report found that the 77 fusion centers scattered across the United States “often produced irrelevant, useless or inappropriate intelligence reporting to DHS, and many produced no intelligence reporting whatsoever.”

Funny that the 5-Eyes never detected the chatter that was occurring before the 911 attacks.  But then Tony Blair and George W. Bush were planning on attacking Iraq before the 911 attacks took place.  It was Tony Blair who provided the “sexed up” intelligence report on Saddam Hussein’s nonexistent weapons of mass destruction.  No one ever paid a price for the British intelligence lies.  Now Theresa May is claiming Vladimir Putin poisoned the Skripals with the weapon of mass destruction Novichok.  From Executive Intelligence Review:

Former British Diplomat Craig Murray Debunks Russia Nerve Agent Allegations

March 15, 2018 (EIRNS)—Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray has debunked the allegations about a Russian poison nerve agent on his website, using sources he says he cannot disclose now. However, he charges that “The Novichok Story Is Indeed Another Iraqi WMD Scam,” as the headline of his blog reads.

Basically, the U.K. government is claiming that former Russian GRU turned MI6 double agent Sergei Skripal was killed by “Novichok,” a substance no one has ever seen and whose existence is even doubted, so that if indeed it was used, this would be the first time, and British experts wouldn’t be able to identify it. Furthermore, they should have delivered a sample to the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), of which the U.K. is member.

He summarized his conclusions as follows:

·        Porton Down [the U.K. government laboratory dealing with chemical weapons] has acknowledged in publications that it has never seen any Russian ‘Novichoks.’ The U.K. government has absolutely no ‘fingerprint’ information, such as impurities, that could safely attribute any sample to Russia.”

·        Until now, neither Porton Down nor the world’s experts at the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) were convinced ‘Novichoks’ even exist.

·        The U.K. is refusing to provide a sample to the OPCW.

·        ‘Novichoks’ were specifically designed to be able to be manufactured from common ingredients on any scientific bench. The Americans dismantled and studied the facility that allegedly developed them. It is completely untrue only the Russians could make them, if anybody can.

·        The Novichok program was in Uzbekistan, not in Russia. Its legacy was inherited by the Americans during their alliance with [Uzbek President Islam] Karimov, not by the Russians.”

Yep, same bullsh*t different day.  This collaboration of the British and American intelligence seems to be clownish at best.  If there were a free press in either country they wouldn’t be able to get away with this crap.  This is just another attempt to start WWIII.  From Paul Craig Roberts:

Lies Can Lead To War

Notice that the governments of the US, UK, France, and Germany did not require any evidence to decide that the Russian government used military-grade nerve gas to attack two people on an English park bench and a UK policeman. It makes no sense. There is no Russian motive.

The motive lies in the West. It is the latest orchestration in the ongoing demonization of Russia. The demonization is a huge boost to the power and profit of the military/security complex and prevents President Trump from normalizing relations. The military/security's budget and power require a major enemy, and Russia is the designated enemy and will not be allowed to escape that assigned role.

The false accusations against Russia are damaging the Western countries that make and support the accusations. There has never any evidence provided for any of the accusations. Consider them: the Malaysian airliner, Crimea, the polonium poisoning of a Russian in the UK, Putin's alleged intention to restore the Soviet Empire, Russiagate and the stealing of the US presidential election, other charges of election theft or interference. The current Skripal poisoning. Accusations abound, but never any evidence. Eventually even insouciant Western peoples begin to wonder about the transformation of evidence-free accusations into truth.

What do leaders and peoples of the few independent and sovereign countries think when they see a signed condemnation of Russia for poisoning a long-retired UK double-agent without a scrap of evidence by the political heads of the four major Western countries? What do the Chinese think? The Iranians? The Indians?

We know that the Russians are beginning to think that they are being set up by demonization for invasion, as was Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Assad, Yemen, and the attempt on Iran. It is finally dawning on Russia that all these accusations are not some kind of mistake that diplomacy can straighten out, but, instead, the setting up of Russia for military attack.

So many lies spread by British and American intelligence it’s hard to keep up.  Oh, and that dodgy dossier of British Intelligence lies that was given to John McCain to bring an FBI eager to publish was just a bunch of hooey.  It was all part of the collusion between British intelligence and the FBI to launch a witch hunt against President Donald Trump.  From The Federalist:

Excerpt:

REVEALED: Peter Strzok Had Personal Relationship With Recused Judge In Michael Flynn Case
Text messages obtained by The Federalist show that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page conspired to collude with Judge Rudolph Contreras, a FISA judge who presided over Michael Flynn's guilty plea and was later removed from the case.

Newly discovered text messages obtained by The Federalist reveal two key federal law enforcement officials conspired to meet with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) judge who presided over the federal case against Michael Flynn. The judge, Rudolph Contreras, was recused from handling the case just days after accepting the guilty plea of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser who was charged with making false statements to federal investigators.

The text messages about Contreras between controversial Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) lawyer Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the senior FBI counterintelligence official who was kicked off Robert Mueller’s special counsel team, were deliberately hidden from Congress, multiple congressional investigators told The Federalist. In the messages, Page and Strzok, who are rumored to have been engaged in an illicit romantic affair, discussed Strzok’s personal friendship with Contreras and how to leverage that relationship in ongoing counterintelligence matters.

“Rudy is on the [Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court]!” Page excitedly texted Strzok on July 25, 2016. “Did you know that? Just appointed two months ago.”

“I did,” Strzok responded. “I need to get together with him.”

“[He] said he’d gotten on a month or two ago at a graduation party we were both at.”

Contreras was appointed to the top surveillance court on May 19, 2016, federal records show.

The pair even schemed about how to set up a cocktail or dinner party just so Contreras, Strzok, and Page could speak without arousing suspicion that they were colluding. Strzok expressed concern that a one-on-one meeting between the two men might require Contreras’ recusal from matters in which Strzok was involved.

“[REDACTED] suggested a social setting with others would probably be better than a one on one meeting,” Strzok told Page. “I’m sorry, I’m just going to have to invite you to that cocktail party.”

“Have to come up with some other work people cover for action,” Strzok added.

“Why more?” Page responded. “Six is a perfectly fine dinner party.”

It is not known whether the proposed party happened as planned.

While working as one of the top counterintelligence officials at the FBI, Strzok reportedly took part in the FBI’s interview of Flynn on January 24. Flynn later pleaded guilty to one charge of providing false information to federal investigators. Strzok later left the FBI to join Mueller’s special counsel team, which obtained the indictment of Flynn.

Flynn’s guilty plea was accepted in federal court by Contreras on December 1, 2017. The New York Times reported the next day that Strzok, who left the FBI to work for special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, had been removed from the case by Mueller due to inappropriate text messages between Strzok and another federal official, now believed to be DOJ attorney Lisa Page.

On December 5, 2017, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, wrote a letter to FBI director Christopher Wray demanding text messages from Strzok as well as any notes he took regarding his interviews with Flynn. Contreras was recused from the Flynn case on December 7, 2017, and the case was reassigned to Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, according to federal court documents.

Neither Contreras nor federal judiciary officials have publicly indicated the reason for Contreras’ removal from the case. Contreras’ office declined to comment on inquiries asking about his relationship with Strzok, or why he was not recused from the Flynn case until after he had accepted Flynn’s guilty plea…

Hmmm, so Strzok, the senior FBI counterintelligence official set up Flynn how much more corrupt could the FBI get?  That is just the tip of the iceberg.  The whole Mueller investigation is a set up to remove America’s elected President and replace him with one more liking to British Intelligence, the FBI and CIA.  The set up began in July right around the time that the British government was planning on banning Trump from Britain.  Oh there was collusion in America’s 2016 Presidential election alright, but it wasn’t between Trump and Russian President Putin, it was between the British government and Obama’s FBI and CIA.  Nice.

Worse than Watergate: Neocon's FBI in panic over FISA memo urges war with Turkey in Syria

It’s déjà vu all over again.  For those of you, who like myself were glued to the TV in the 1970’s watching the Watergate hearings, the FBI’s panic over the release of the FISA memo is déjà vu all over again.  The FBI, formerly an august agency was packed with partisan political neocon appointees under George W. Bush and maintained under Barack Obama.

It was George W. Bush’s FBI that ignored the warnings of FBI field agent Colleen Rowley about suspicious foreign individuals taking flying lessons without a need to be able to land the plane.  The FBI’s deliberate negligence led to the “Pearl Harbor-like” event on 911 that opened the door to endless war, torture, banking theft, media consolidation and massive election fraud.

Under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security and with the blessing of the US Senate, the FBI and the CIA have become lawless agencies threatening members of congress, whistle blowers, nation states and the American people. The difference between Watergate and now is that during Watergate there were members of the Senate who actually believed in the rule of law.  That no longer exists with this congress.

It was in this atmosphere of invincibility and lack of congressional oversight that these corrupt agencies believed they could overthrow the will of the people in the 2016 Presidential election with impunity, after all it worked in 2000 in Bush v. Gore and in the Democratic primary in 2008 when the loser Barack Obama was gifted the nomination.

As a last ditch effort to salvage the tainted, partisan “Russia Collusion” witch hunt launched by the FBI, CIA and US Senate against our elected President Donald J. Trump, Senator Lindsay Graham has threatened that if Donald Trump expressed the desire to fire the Deep State’s Mueller that he would be guilty of Obstruction of Justice.  What a laugh.  And it’s not only Graham lobbing baseless, desperate threats, House Intel Chair Devin Nunes was threatened with prosecution if he released the FISA memo.  From The National Sentinel:

Excerpt:

Far Left in PANIC over FISA memo release; former FED prosecutor threatens CHARGES against House Intel chairman

(National Sentinel) Panic Mode: A former federal prosecutor has said he will publicly call for a criminal investigation of House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., if the full panel votes to release a classified “FISA memo” to the public.

Frank Figliuzzi told MSNBC that the memo may contain “secret or top secret” information that would allegedly compromise intelligence “sources, methods and techniques that simply cannot be exposed.”  As such, he believes that Nunes, as chairman, should be held legally responsible for any release of information…

The White House has already said the president supports releasing the memo, which he and others feel will not only vindicate his earlier claims of being “wiretapped” by the Obama administration, but that special counsel Robert Mueller’s entire “Russian collusion” investigation is based on a false premise…

As to Figliuzzi’s legal claims against Nunes, the House Intelligence Committee has the authority to declassify any documents on a majority vote and release them to the public. The president does not have to agree or authorize it.

“The Deep State is panicking alright,” said The National Sentinel editor-in-chief J. D. Heyes. “They keep coming up with all of these reasons why the memo shouldn’t be released instead of ways to ensure this kind of political abuse of our legal system never happens again…

Sounds like less of a national security threat than a direct threat against an out of control agency using its power to remove an elected president on specious charges.  But it isn’t enough for partisan Republicans to release the memo that they crafted, they must release the supporting documentation.  From Glenn Greenwald at TheIntercept:

Excerpt:

Republicans Have Four Easy Ways to #ReleaseTheMemo — and the Evidence for It. Not Doing So Will Prove Them to Be Shameless Frauds.

ONE OF THE gravest and most damaging abuses of state power is to misuse surveillance authorities for political purposes. For that reason, The Intercept, from its inception, has focused extensively on these issues.  We therefore regard as inherently serious strident warnings from public officials alleging that the FBI and Department of Justice have abused their spying power for political purposes…

This memo, which remains secret, was reportedly written under the direction of the chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, GOP Rep. Devin Nunes, and has been read by dozens of members of Congress after the committee voted to make the memo available to all members of the House of Representatives to examine in a room specially designated for reviewing classified material…

Given the significance of this issue, it is absolutely true that the memo should be declassified and released to the public — and not just the memo itself.  The House Intelligence Committee generally and Nunes specifically have a history of making unreliable and untrue claims (its report about Edward Snowden was full of falsehoods, as Bart Gellman amply documented, and prior claims from Nunes about “unmasking” have been discredited).

Thus, mere assertions from Nunes — or anyone else — are largely worthless; Republicans should provide American citizens not merely with the memo they claim reveals pervasive criminality and abuse of power, but also with all of the evidence underlying its conclusions.

President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans have the power, working together or separately, to immediately declassify all the relevant information. And if indeed the GOP’s explosive claims are accurate – if, as HPSCI member Steve King, R-Iowa, says, this is “worse than Watergate” — they obviously have every incentive to get it into the public’s hands as soon as possible. Indeed, one could argue that they have the duty to do so…

Anyone who is genuinely concerned about the claims being made about eavesdropping abuses should understand why the issue of evidence is so critical. After all, the House, Senate, and FBI investigations into any Trump collusion with Russia have so far proceeded with many startling claims in the media, but to date little hard evidence for the public to judge. Nobody rational should be assuming any claims or assertions from partisan actors about the 2016 election are true without seeing evidence to substantiate those claims.

The good news is there are at least four easy ways for congressional Republicans and/or Trump to definitively prove that all the right’s darkest suspicions about the Obama administration are true. If this memo and the underlying documents prove even a fraction of what GOP politicians and media figures are claiming about them, then what could possibly justify its ongoing concealment? Any or all of these methods should be promptly invoked to ensure that the public sees this evidence:

1. Trump can declassify anything he wants…

According to the Supreme Court, the presidential power “to classify and control access to information bearing on national security … flows primarily from the constitutional investment of power in the president…”

That means presidents can also declassify anything they chose to — for any reason or no reason — as they have done in the past. George W. Bush, under pressure in 2004, declassified the section of the 2001 presidential daily brief headlined “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” Barack Obama declassified the Justice Department memos produced during the Bush presidency on the legality of torture.

2. The House (and Senate) intelligence committees can declassify any material they possess.

3. The Constitution protects members of Congress from prosecution for “any speech or debate in either House.”

It is this constitutional shield that protected Sen. Mike Gravel of Alaska from legal consequences in 1971 when he read sections of the Pentagon Papers during a meeting of the Senate Subcommittee on Public Buildings and Grounds, and then placed the rest of the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record.

Ordinary citizens — like Daniel Ellsberg, Edward Snowden, and Chelsea Manning — have risked prison in order to expose what they believed were serious official crimes; these members of Congress can do this without any of those consequences. So what justifies their failure to do this?

4. Republicans can leak everything to the news media.

If for some reason Trump and the congressional leadership refuse to use any of the above options to vindicate themselves, a brave member of Congress could turn whistleblower and transmit the classified proof of the GOP’s claims about the memo to the news media…  Many outlets now have secure methods of sending sensitive material to them, such as Secure Drop.

If they do not, Republicans will conclusively demonstrate something else. They will prove conclusively that all of this is about them shamelessly making claims they do not actually believe, fraudulently posturing as caring about one of the most vital, fundamental issues facing the United States: how the U.S. government uses the vast surveillance powers with which it has been vested.

The FISA memo now goes to President Trump to determine whether it will be released to the public.  Now the real fight begins, who will win, Trump or the Deep State?  From State of the Nation:

Excerpt:

RED ALERT: FISAgate Proves Deep State Will Do ANYTHING To Remove Trump

Toward that end, every traitor who participated in this massive criminal hoax ought to be expeditiously indicted and arrested to face a military trial.  The dire necessity for this dramatic response is to send a message to all accomplices (particularly those operating under the radar) that an insurrection will not be tolerated.

That the seditious cabal continues to grow their criminal enterprise is quite shocking; nonetheless, they persist in the face of daily exposure.  Hence, the ongoing neglect to apprehend these traitors only encourages their serial lawbreaking.  Much more significantly, the Trump administration remains under the dire threat of a full-blown coup d’état.

Surreptitious plots of treason and sedition, insurrection and rebellion are still being carried out each and every day.  How in the world do these perps continue to act with such impunity even after FISAgate has been blown wide open?

Virtually every major organ of the U.S. Federal Government is involved, to varying degrees of course.  Most of the co-conspirators are operating in the shadows and unknown even to the de facto leaders of this Purple Revolution.  That’s because it’s being coordinated by rogue elements within the C.I.A. which always compartmentalize their stealth insurgencies, just as they implement these black ops on a strictly need-to-know basis.

The Mainstream Media (MSM) is the primary communication platform by which the insurrectionists speak to each other without being found out.  Corresponding in code in this manner permits the collaborators to avoid the Internet and especially social media. It also prevents an incriminating digital record from being created which exists practically forever.

In view of these stark realities, the Trump administration must invoke the various legal justifications for shutting down the MSM.  The establishment media has already broken several laws just as it has violated various FCC regulations.  The contravention of various FCC rules and regulations alone serves as a lawful pretext to shut down the largest MSM platforms.  For it is the blatantly subversive establishment media that is guilty of incessantly propagandizing the body politic against the POTUS.

Indeed, the Mainstream Media is nothing more than a propaganda tool for the neocons populating the CIA and FBI ushering America into one ill-conceived war after another with no justification.  The FISA memo reveals much more than the Deep State’s attempt at a coup against an elected president.  The memo reveals that the Deep State, using the Mainstream Media will now escalate their illegal intervention in Syria into a war with Turkey to save their own asses.  From Information Clearing House:

Excerpt:

Syria - Neo-Conservatives Demand "Action" - Hope For A Larger War

January 29, 2018 "Information Clearing House" - The U.S. polity and media now acknowledge what we reported on December 21. The U.S. announcement to build up a 30,000 strong PKK army in north-east Syria was a disaster. It prompted Turkey to initiate its attack on YPG/PKK Kurds in Afrin. It threatens do drive it out of NATO and into Russia's open arms. It gives the Syrian government new leverage against the Syrian Kurds.

Under Turkish threats to attack U.S. forces in Syria the Trump administration had to pull back - at least in its rhetoric. Independent of who rules Turkey the country will never acquiesce to an armed Kurdish entity on its southern border. The U.S. should have know this.

This failure of the Trump administration's plan has prompted a new push from neoconservative propagandists for a full U.S. war on Syria and its allies. The lobby shop of the Kagan family, the Institute For The Study of War, had its junior staff pen an op-ed for Foxnews to argue for a new study object:

The U.S. must face reality in Syria. It must recognize the threat Russia poses. It must acknowledge the limits of its current partners on the ground. It cannot put faith in a diplomatic charade. It must implement a real strategy against al Qaeda and Iran. And it must recognize the value of American action over American rhetoric…

A second neocon op-ed, this by Josh Rogin, was posted at Jeff Bezos' blog: Team Trump must match its new rhetoric on Syria with action.  It is not useful to quote the nonsense but here are some of the rhetoric figures it uses:

... the will and leverage needed to lead a solution to the Syrian crisis - defend U.S. interests - confronting the ongoing terrorist threat - Iranian expansion - Bashar al-Assad’s brutal aggression - on-the-ground influence - herculean effort - a contingent that wants to cut and run - a real plan - fundamental flaw - a lack of sufficient leverage on the ground ...

After having set the scene for a massive U.S. occupation of Syria, Rogin claims that "nobody is advocating" a "large increase in U.S. troops". His advice then is to do more of the stuff that evidently just failed:

…stick to the Kurds, pay some Arab tribes (aka former ISIS), arm rebels (aka al-Qaeda) in Idleb.

But then comes the real blopper:

the Trump administration should raise the pressure on Assad, Russia and Iran, including through sanctions, the credible threat of U.S. force and whatever else might persuade them.

Now what please is a "credible threat of U.S. force" against those three countries? And might they have the capability to credibly threat back? Who will win the thermonuclear war over the Tanf desert base in south-east Syria?

A year into Trump’s presidency, his administration is saying the United States has a long-term interest in Syria. The next step is to match those words with action.

I have no doubt that the two op-eds were coordinated. More of this kind will likely come. The common theme is "action" and - while not openly said - they demand a larger U.S. war over Syria. The unmentioned beneficiary of such a war, next to the weapon producing financiers of those writers, would be Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The neoconservative writers and their op-eds should be ignored.

What’s even more frightening is that our corrupt politicians have just authorized the neocon’s unlimited resources for war escalation with NO oversight from congress.  From The Intercept:

Excerpt:

TOP REPUBLICAN WARNS THAT UNDER NEW SPENDING BILL “THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY COULD EXPEND FUNDS AS IT SEES FIT”

IN A DRAMATIC moment on the Senate floor Monday afternoon, as the upper chamber rushed a spending bill through to end the government shutdown, the top Republican and Democrat on the Intelligence Committee warned that the bill contains language that would kneecap Congress’s ability to oversee secret covert actions and surveillance programs. Their effort to amend the language was rebuffed.

The intelligence community, in its latest grasp, has gone too far even for Richard Burr. The Republican chair of the Senate Intelligence committee has long been one of the Senate’s staunchest advocates for the intelligence agencies, leading the fight to reauthorize surveillance programs and fighting to bury the results of the Senate’s five-year investigation into CIA torture. But he took to the Senate floor Monday to warn that it would compromise Congress’s ability to oversee secret intelligence programs.

“This language could erode the powers of the authorizing committee,” Burr said. “Effectively, the intelligence community could expend funds as it sees fit without an authorization bill in place and with no statutory direction indicating that an authorization bill for 2018 is forthcoming.”

The provision, first reported by The Intercept, appeared in the House version of the spending bill last week and modified the 70–year-old-law that first chartered the CIA. It removed language requiring intelligence agencies to spend money according to Congress’s instructions, and replaced it with a provision that allows the agencies to move money around freely and without Congress’s knowledge. Blackwater founder Erik Prince has recently pitched the administration on a private intelligence force that would report directly to President Donald Trump and CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

Scary stuff.  Will congress take on the neocon driven Deep State?  Will they have the courage to rein in the unlimited power of the out of control neocon dominated intelligence apparatus?  From Consortium News:

Excerpt:

Will Congress Face Down the Deep State?

The House Intelligence Committee’s vote on Monday to release a memorandum describing alleged malfeasance at the DOJ and the FBI could test constitutional principles, writes Ray McGovern.

With the House Intelligence Committee vote yesterday to release its four-page memorandum reportedly based on documentary evidence of possible crimes by top Justice Department and FBI leaders, the die is cast. Russia-gate and FBI-gate are now joined at the hip.

The coming weeks will show whether the U.S. intelligence establishment (the FBI/CIA/NSA, AKA the “Deep State”) will be able to prevent its leaders from being held to account. Past precedent suggests that the cabal that conjured up Russia-gate will not have to pick up a “go-to-jail” card. This, despite the widespread guilt suggested by the abrupt way that several senior-echelon DOJ and FBI rats have already jumped ship. Not to mention the manner in which FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, was unceremoniously pushed overboard yesterday, after Director Christopher Wray was given a look at the extra-legal capers described in the House Intelligence Committee memorandum.

Granted, at first glance Deep State’s efforts to undercut candidate Donald Trump at first seem so risky and audacious as to be unbelievable. By now, though, Americans should be able to wrap their heads around, one, the dire threat that outsider Trump was seen to be posing to the Deep State and to the ease with which it held sway under President Barack Obama; and, two, expected immunity from prosecution if Deep State crimes were eventually discovered after the election, since “everybody knew” Hillary Clinton was going to win. Oops.

There seems to be an outside chance, this time, that the culprits who did actually interfere in the 2016 presidential election in an effort to make sure Trump could not win, and then did all in their power to sabotage him after he his electoral victory, will be held to account by unusually feisty members of the House.

It is abundantly clear that members of the House Intelligence and House Judiciary Committees are now in possession of the kind of unambiguous, first-hand documentary evidence needed to get a grand jury convened and, eventually, indictments obtained.

It is no exaggeration to suggest that the Republic and the Constitution are at stake…

The Media’s Role

I almost feel sorry for what is called “mainstream media” and – even more so – for the majority of Americans deceived by the prevailing narrative on Russia-gate.  Even though that narrative now lies in shreds, there is no sign so far that the pundits will fess up and admit to spreading a far-fetched, evidence-impoverished story that was full of holes from the get-go…

Even vestigially honest journalists of the old school, who may themselves have been taken in, will have a Herculean challenge if they attempt to write to right the ship of journalism.  As for brainwashed Americans, pity them.  It is far easier to deceive folks than to convince them they have been deceived, as Mark Twain once wrote.

From today’s online version of the New York Times, for example, the lede headline read, “Taunted by Trump and Pressured From Above, McCabe Steps Down as F.B.I. Deputy.”  The Times quotes Representative Adam B. Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, giving hypocrisy a bad name. Schiff said yesterday that it had been a “sad day” for the committee and that Republicans had voted “to politicize the intelligence process.”

And this just in: an op-ed from NYT pundit David Leonhardt, titled – you guessed it – “The Nunes Conspiracy.”

“Instead of evidence, the memo engages in the same dark and misleading conspiracy theories that have characterized other efforts by President Trump’s allies to discredit the Russia investigation,” Leonhardt wrote. “But the substance of the claims isn’t really the point. Distraction is the point, and the distraction campaign is having an impact.”

And so it goes.

Yes, indeedy the more things change the more they stay the same.  It’s déjà vu all over again.  It’s Watergate redux.  The FBI, formerly an august agency was packed with partisan political neocon appointees under George W. Bush and maintained under Barack Obama.  The only difference between Watergate and FISA-gate is that during Watergate there were Senators, both Republican and Democrat that believed in the rule of law and were willing to take on the Deep State and right the Ship of State.

Will there be enough honest, untainted Senators to take on the corrupt Deep State?  Time will tell, but I for one doubt it.  Any honest Senator like Al Franken has been forced to resign by the corrupt Deep State sans the rule of law and due process in accusations of sexual misconduct.  I pray I am wrong.

The Dominos begin to fall, who’s the real threat Russia or American Intelligence Apparatus?

There comes a time when one must ask, who is a bigger threat to Democracy, Russia or the America intelligence apparatus?  Our out of control spooks need to be reined in.  Russia has for some time now been the only voice of reason over the insane neocon, neoliberal warfare governments that have taken over the West.  The banking cartel lunatics that have seized control over western governments must be stopped.  With the firing of the Deep State’s point man, James Comey the Dominos are beginning to fall and the desperation is setting in.

The CIA’s media whores are peddling lies like they did during the Bush/Obama era with their “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence” logic.  To date there has been no evidence of Russian election tampering or of President Trump passing on highly classified information to the Russian ambassador.  The American government is starting to look like a bunch of stooges on the world stage.  From Reuters:

Putin offers transcript to prove Trump did not pass Russia secrets

Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump had not divulged any secrets during a meeting in Washington with Russian officials and offered to prove it by supplying Congress with a transcript.  But a leading U.S. Republican politician said he would have little faith in any notes Putin might supply.

Two U.S. officials said on Monday Trump had disclosed classified information about a planned Islamic State operation to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov when they met last week, plunging the White House into a fresh controversy just four months into Trump's tenure…

Putin, who still hopes Moscow can repair battered ties with the United States despite a deepening political scandal in the United States related to Trump's purported Russia ties, said Moscow had rated Lavrov's meeting with Trump highly.  If the Trump administration deemed it appropriate, Putin said Russia could hand over a transcript of Trump's meeting with Lavrov to U.S. lawmakers to reassure them that no secrets were revealed…

Trump is also under pressure over accusations he asked then-FBI Director James Comey to end the agency's investigation into the Russia ties of former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.  The allegation stems from a memo written by Comey and seen by a source familiar with the contents of the memo.

'EITHER STUPID OR CORRUPT'

Complaining about what he said was "political schizophrenia" in the United States, Putin said Trump was not being allowed to do his job properly.  "It's hard to imagine what else these people who generate such nonsense and rubbish can dream up next," said Putin, referring to unnamed U.S. politicians.

"What surprises me is that they are shaking up the domestic political situation using anti-Russian slogans. Either they don't understand the damage they're doing to their own country, in which case they are simply stupid, or they understand everything, in which case they are dangerous and corrupt."

No kidding, our government officials that are engaged in a witch-hunt against Donald Trump are both stupid and dangerously corrupt.   They, along with the CIA’s disinformation arm at the Washington Post and New York Times have zero credibility.  From World Socialist Website:

Excerpt:

Media claims Trump revealed classified information to Russian visitors

The incident, assuming it is accurately reported and not a piece of deliberate disinformation from the US intelligence apparatus, suggests, among other things, that at least one country allied with Washington still maintains friendly relations with ISIS. Both Saudi Arabia and Qatar come to mind…

No significant evidence has yet been produced to substantiate claims that the Russian government was responsible for the hacking of materials subsequently published by WikiLeaks. Nor has there been any evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.  The anti-Russia campaign has been launched in opposition to Trump’s initial suggestions of a more cooperative relationship with Moscow, including a pullback from efforts to overthrow Assad in Syria, to focus more military resources on China and East Asia…

From the standpoint of the deepening US political crisis, the main question raised by the Post report is how details of a closed-door meeting in the Oval Office made its way to the newspaper. The most likely sources are the CIA and NSA…

In other words, the newspaper chose to enlist in the ranks of the military-intelligence officials waging political warfare against Trump.

Our “elected” officials are working against our President just like they did during the Clinton Administration.  Our country is run by a shadow government run by our spy agencies, particularly the CIA who isn’t accountable to anyone.   The fact that our president, after meeting with Russian officials behind closed doors is being sabotaged by the media on behalf of the CIA shows how dangerous the CIA has become.  From Russia Today:

Excerpt:

CIA is world’s most dangerously incompetent spy agency – Assange

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has described the CIA as “dangerously incompetent,” in response to the US agency branding him a “friend of terrorists.” The war of words started after RT asked the CIA to comment on reports of its hacking exploits.

“Dictators and terrorists have no better friend in the world than Julian Assange, as theirs is the only privacy he protects,” CIA spokesperson Heather Fritz Horniak told RT in an email.

The scathing response came after RT asked the CIA to comment on the assessment of former agency analyst Ray McGovern. He suggested that the capability to falsify digital fingerprints, exposed by WikiLeaks as part of its ongoing Vault 7 disclosure, cast doubt on allegations against Russia in connection with the 2016 US presidential election.

“Could it be that the ‘Russian hack’ was really done by John Brennan of the CIA? If I were asked to bet on that, then I would bet that that was exactly the case,” McGovern told RT’s Going Underground program.

“What does that mean? It means that these trumped-up charges against Trump, pardon the pun, are baseless,” McGovern added…

“The CIA is the world’s most dangerously incompetent spy agency. It has armed terrorists, destroyed democracies and installed and maintained dictatorships the world over,” he said in an email. “There are good men and women at the CIA but if our publications are any guide they work for WikiLeaks.”

CIA spokesperson Horniak also lashed out at RT for questioning the allegations of Russia’s interference in the US election.

“The responsibility of the Russian intelligence services for the election-related hacking is an established fact, but it is not surprising that an identified propaganda outlet like RT would attempt to muddle those facts. No reputable news organization doubts Russian culpability,” Horniak claimed.

Anyone who questions the “anonymous” sources that provide the sketchy information behind the Russia-Trump allegations are immediately attacked by the media.  On Tucker Carlson’s show Tuesday evening Tucker played a clip as an example of the unhinged CNN moderator screaming at her guest for questioning the veracity of using unnamed sources.

CNN has become notorious for promoting CIA and FBI lies as news and attacking anyone who dares question their reportage.  But there are many voices in the wilderness calling them out for their bias and hatred toward Donald Trump.  Roger Stone who was an advisor to Trump wrote an excellent piece for Lew Rockwell:

Excerpt:

The CIA’s Legacy of Lies

The recent announcement that the Trump Justice Department is considering indicting WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for release and publication of materials obtained by federal whistle blowers is contrary to the position of President Donald Trump who said, “I love WikiLeaks”, during the Fall campaign.

As I wrote last week the troubling comments made by Director of Central Intelligence Mike Pompeo could be a troubling sign that the same intelligence agency involved an illegal leaking of surveillance regarding General Flynn is out to destabilize President Trump.

These damn agencies lead the charge for the limited air strike in Syria and worked with their allies in the military to push the president to put 150,000 troops in Syria. They are also responsible for the leak to the NYT on Jan 20 on which Washington Post Reports that Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Carter Page were all subject to NSA ordered FBI surveillance. There is no evidence that either Stone or Manafort colluded with the Russian State…

Acting on faulty intelligence endorsed by Director Pompeo, the President has now violated international law, the UN Charter and the War Powers Agreement with Congress… But not only is the public shortchanged by an agency that all-too-often misses either the boat or gets things wrong, its operations around the world have gone far beyond the scope of its charter. The agency is out of control.

Even Harry Truman, who signed The National Security Act in 1947, concluded that creating the CIA had been his most grievous mistake, the American people need to know the kinds of actions that the agency has taken that are not only violate the sovereignty of other nations but subvert the ideas of the United States itself. Its actions have been primarily responsible for the wide-spread belief that America is “the greatest terrorist state” in the world.

We can far more easily replace an incompetent director than we can constrain its pernicious influence in other nations. The CIA has become the most effective instrument for subverting freedom and democracy in the name of “freedom and democracy” the world has ever seen and has permanently tarnished the image of the USA, which virtually everyone but the American public understands…

Once again, the controlling media does its best to manage public perceptions, which continues to this day. With Donald Trump in the White House, many of his supporters, myself included, had high expectations that the “Deep State” would be cut down to size—and, indeed, in some respects, it has been. But appointments like that of new CIA Director, Mike Pompeo, indicate that nothing has really changed…  If we want to do better, we are going to have to get rid of the forces that control us. The CIA would be a good place to start.

Scathing rebuke of the CIA by Roger Stone.  All of this baloney about Russia and Trump is fabricated by the intelligence apparatus to preserve their own status.  Former Representative Ron Paul is calling for the destruction of the spy apparatus.  From Free Thought Project:

Excerpt:

Ron Paul: Comey was a Good Start — Now Fire the Entire FBI

Lamenting the degree to which Comey’s termination has been politicized by media pundits and Washington pols, Paul implored the need for critical thinking on the matter, asking the nation to consider several imperatives.  “What is the purpose of the FBI? And are they fulfilling a purpose?” Dr. Paul rhetorically asks Daniel McAdams for the Liberty Report...

Further still, is the existence of an organization “investigating and spying on everybody” in the country even necessary — let alone, justifiable?  With around 35,000 agents at its disposal — enough to populate a small city — the agency has mushroomed to proportions unnecessary for a nation virtually devoid of terrorism or other constant, existential threats…

Discussing the State’s propaganda machine, Dr. Paul emphasizes that what’s typically termed ‘spin’ in actuality, “it’s mostly flat-out lying — when they lie us into war,” as has been the case in Syria and a lengthy list of other zones of conflict with U.S. military involvement…

“You know, the founders warned against a standing army,” Dr. Paul affirms, “and I think … we have the standing army. We have the nationalization of the police force. And the FBI has thirty-five thousand in their ‘army’…

Dr. Paul asks, “And what do they do? We end up losing. We’re supposed to be fighting and getting involved to protect our Constitution and our liberties.”  But that isn’t what the FBI does — its collection of information on American citizens and leaders runs in direct contradiction to the supposed protection of freedoms with which such an organization ostensively began.

As Paul and McAdams continue the discussion, the insidious nature of the modern FBI is made apparent, between spying and data collection, to the creation of a climate of fear — where a pro-war, pro-U.S. interventionist belief system equivocates laudable patriotism — and civilians blindly accept whatever narrative the government puts forth, no matter the consequences to liberty and innate rights.

“I would not be upset if we didn’t have an FBI,” Dr. Paul opines.

It is high time America review the intelligence apparatus that has become so powerful that it no longer functions in a way that is good for America.  Now we see in the WashingtonTimes that the FBI tried to bribe a Russian in their crosshairs to confess to hacking the DNC on Putin’s orders:

Excerpt:

Russian charged with breaching U.S. firms says FBI attempted to coerce confession over Clinton hack

A Russian man wanted by the Justice Department on charges connected to hacking U.S. companies now claims the FBI offered him immunity in exchange for accepting responsibility for cyberattacks targeting former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Yevgeny Nikulin, the alleged hacker, laid the claim to Russian media Thursday in a letter sent from a Czech Republic prison cell amid an international extradition battle currently underway between Washington and Moscow.

FBI agents promised Mr. Nikulin money, American citizenship and a free apartment for taking the fall over hacking Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, he alleged in a letter published Thursday by Nastoyashchoe Vremya, a Russian-language website.

“[They told me:] you will have to confess to breaking into Clinton’s inbox for [President Trump] on behalf of [Russian President Vladimir Putin],” Mr. Nikulin wrote, as translated by The Moscow Times…

The FBI declined to comment.

FBI agents asked Mr. Nikulin to admit hacking Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign, Democratic Party computers and American polling stations “on Putin’s orders,” he wrote. In exchange, he alleges, the FBI said he’d be extradited to the U.S. but ultimately given money, citizenship and a free apartment.

Looks like the FBI creates a crime then looks for a patsy to take the fall.  But wait a minute, what’s this?  From Newsweek:

Excerpt:

FBI ACTING DIRECTOR ANDREW MCCABE ALSO BEING INVESTIGATED OVER CLINTON EMAILS

Following President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday, Andrew McCabe, the deputy director, will temporarily lead the bureau. The president dismissed Comey because of his handling of the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, according to a memorandum by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, but McCabe is also under scrutiny for his involvement in the Clinton emails matter.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General announced in January that in response to requests from members of Congress, organizations and the public, it was opening a review of the FBI’s handling of the Clinton matter. Among the aspects that the office said it would review were “allegations that the FBI deputy director should have been recused from participating in certain investigative matters.”

Those concerns came after revelations by media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, that a political action committee affiliated with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, who has ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton, contributed almost $500,000 to the 2015 Virginia state Senate campaign of McCabe’s wife, Jill McCabe. (She lost the election.) She also received $207,788 from the Virginia Democratic Party, which is connected to McAuliffe, a Democrat.

Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, wrote a letter to Comey on March 28 expressing concerns about McCabe’s involvement in the Clinton emails matter, given the donations that his wife received. “These circumstances undermine public confidence in the FBI’s impartiality,” Grassley wrote.

And then there’s this article in the Washington Post:

Excerpt:

Justice Department inspector general to investigate pre-election actions by department and FBI

The Washington Post's Matt Zapotosky explains why the Department of Justice is opening a new inquiry into FBI Director James B. Comey and how he handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s email practices.

The Justice Department inspector general will review broad allegations of misconduct involving FBI Director James B. Comey and how he handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s email practices, the inspector general announced Thursday.

The investigation will be wide-ranging, encompassing Comey’s various letters and public statements on the matter and whether FBI or other Justice Department employees leaked nonpublic information, according to Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

The inspector general’s announcement drew praise from those on both sides of the political aisle and again put a spotlight on Comey, who emerged as a controversial figure during the 2016 race. Democrats, including Clinton, have blamed the FBI director for the Democratic candidate’s loss, arguing that the renewed email inquiry and Comey’s public missives on the eve of the election blunted her momentum…

Comey has also been criticized for months by former Justice Department officials for violating the department’s policy of avoiding any action that could affect a candidate close to an election. President-elect Donald Trump has notably declined to commit to keeping the FBI director.

“This is highly encouraging and to be expected given Director Comey’s drastic deviation from Justice Department protocol,” Fallon said. “A probe of this sort, however long it takes to conduct, is utterly necessary in order to take the first step to restore the FBI’s reputation as a non-partisan institution.”

As I previously stated, there comes a time when one must ask, who is a bigger threat to our Democracy, Russia or the America intelligence apparatus?  There can be no doubt that our intelligence agencies are out of control and instead of preserving our freedoms are undermining our Democracy.  Russia did not hack our election nor did Russia in any way affect the outcome of the election.  The Dominos are falling and hopefully there will be a major overhaul of our intelligence apparatus who only serve the Deep State and the banking cartels.

Election 2016: the CIA and FBI vs. the American people

James Comey’s politicization of the FBI has had detrimental effects on the agency that will tarnish the august institution for generations to come.  Comey, who had no law enforcement background, was nominated to head up America’s domestic intelligence agency by Barack Obama, whose presidential campaign was funded by Wall Street Banks.  During Obama’s presidential campaign, three-quarters of a billion dollars was funneled into the coffers of Obama in the biggest quid pro quo in America’s history.

After the election of Obama as president, the nations’ agencies were stacked with Wall Street Banker’s most loyal of agents in order to protect the banks from prosecution for crashing the global economy in favor of pure, unadulterated greed.  Obama’s first Attorney General, Wall Street’s own Eric Holder, ensured there would be no investigations nor prosecutions.  Nay, not only would the taxpayers bail out Wall Street but those at the top would collect hundreds of millions in bonuses.  From Rolling Stone:

Top spy agencies stacked against American people

Excerpt:

Eric Holder, Wall Street Double Agent, Comes in From the Cold
Barack Obama's former top cop cashes in after six years of letting banks run wild

Holder will reassume his lucrative partnership (he made $2.5 million the last year he worked there) and take his seat in an office that reportedly – this is no joke – was kept empty for him in his absence.

The office thing might have been improper, but at this point, who cares? More at issue is the extraordinary run Holder just completed as one of history's great double agents. For six years, while brilliantly disguised as the attorney general of the United States, he was actually working deep undercover…

Holder denied there was anything weird about returning to one of Wall Street's favorite defense firms after six years of letting one banker after another skate on monstrous cases of fraud, tax evasion, market manipulation, money laundering, bribery and other offenses…

Here's a man who just spent six years handing out soft-touch settlements to practically every Too Big to Fail bank in the world. Now he returns to a firm that represents many of those same companies: Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup, to name a few…  after he handed out these deals, his service was certainly worth many billions of dollars to Wall Street.

Now he will presumably collect assloads of money from those very same bankers. It's one of THE BIGGEST QUID PRO QUO DEALS in the history of government service…

Yes, Eric Holder let the big banks off the hook to the tune of billions of dollars extracted from American taxpayers to bail out American and European banksters, one of which was HSBC the British based bank that laundered money for Mexican drug cartels through US satellite banking offices.

Anyone who even tries to claim that none of the banks actually did anything illegal should be directed to the HSBC settlement of December 2012. In this deferred prosecution agreement, Europe's largest bank paid $1.92 billion to settle their responsibility for violations of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws.

This is from a description of HSBC's crimes by Holder's Justice Department:

"As a result of HSBC Bank USA's AML failures, at least $881 million in drug trafficking proceeds – including proceeds of drug trafficking by the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico…were laundered through HSBC Bank USA."

You might remember the Sinaloa cartel for their ISIS-style, unforgettably upsetting torture videos. HSBC washed their cash. They even created special teller windows to make their deposits easier. This is admitted, not alleged.

But Holder went out of his way to let them keep their U.S. charter. HE GAVE THEIR EXECUTIVES A GRAND TOTAL OF ZERO DAYS IN JAIL, ZERO DOLLARS IN INDIVIDUAL FINES…

Holder contributed countless subtle inventions to soften punishments.  The most revolting in my view was allowing banks like Chase the courtesy of calling their settlements "remedial payments" instead of fines for wrongdoing.

This seemingly insignificant semantic tweak allowed the bank to call $7 billion of their settlement a business expense, which meant they could claim it as a tax deduction, which in turn meant that taxpayers like you and me paid a whopping $2.45 billion of Chase's penalty.

And guess who one of those Executives that received a “grand total of zero days in jail and zero dollars in individual fines” was?  None other than James Comey.  That’s right, James Comey one of the executives at HSBC Bank was involved with money laundering and drug money trafficking in the US through a British owned bank that cost American tax payers $881 million in “drug trafficking proceeds.”

Obama is Bush’s Third Term

In 2009 Mother Jones wrote an article called “Bush's Third Term?  You're living it.”  In the article they outline what George W. Bush would have done if he had a third term.

Excerpt:

If Bush were in his third term, we would already have seen him propose, yet again, the largest military budget in the history of the world…  And of course, he would have held onto his Secretary of Defense from his second term, Robert Gates, to run the Pentagon, keep our ongoing wars rolling along, and oversee the better part of our public budget…

He'd probably also be escalating the campaign he launched late in his second term to use drone aircraft to illegally and repeatedly strike into Pakistan's tribal borderlands with Afghanistan….  If Bush were still "the decider" he'd be employing mercenaries like Blackwater and propagandists like the Rendon Group and he might even be expanding the number of private security contractors in Afghanistan.

In fact, the whole executive branch would be packed with disreputable corporate executive types. You'd have somebody like John ("May I torture this one some more, please?") Rizzo still serving, at least for a while, as general counsel at the CIA. The White House and Justice Department would be crawling with corporate cronies, people like John Brennan, Greg Craig, James Jones, and ERIC HOLDER.

In addition, the bank bailouts Bush and his economic team initiated in his second term would still be rolling along…  Ben Bernanke, for instance, would certainly have been reappointed to run the Fed…

If the Democrats in Congress attempted to pass any set of needed reforms like, to take an example, new healthcare legislation, Bush, the third termer, would have held secret meetings in the White House with insurance and drug company executives to devise a means to turn such proposals to their advantage.

This dark fantasy of a third Bush term is… an accurate portrait of Obama's first term to date.

Yes, in 2008 Americans were desperate for change, they were promised by Obama and Biden, they would get universal healthcare.  Medicare for all. Instead what was passed was the GOP’s Wall Street profit driven health insurance plan written by the right-wing Heritage Foundation.  Once the plan was repackaged in black face under the cover of a “Democratic” administration, any opposition was quickly extinguished as being racist.

And Obamacare was just the start, the Bush Administration’s lawless attacks on civil and human rights were placed on steroids by Obama and Biden.  Each terror attack, no matter where it took place, demanded further erosion of constitutionally guaranteed rights.  From, The Free Thought Project:

America a lunatic asylum run by FBI and CIA

Excerpt:

Former CIA Officer: “Every Single Terrorist Attack In US Was A False Flag Attack”

Washington, D.C. — While it is a commonly known fact that the CIA utilizes foreign terror groups to destabilize governments targeted by the United States, a much lesser known fact is that numerous whistleblowers have come forward to claim that U.S. intelligence services not only use terrorism to achieve foreign policy goals, but to actually create domestic terror incidents to “blind the masses.”

The most recent intelligence whistleblower is David Steele, a 20-year Marine Corps intelligence officer, and the second-highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence.  Steele, a former CIA clandestine services case officer, had this to say:

“Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. In fact, we now have citizens taking out restraining orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become a lunatic asylum...”

Many people believe the attacks of 9/11 to be a false flag event, perhaps orchestrated by U.S. intelligence services or an entity that operates above the level of government entities (commonly referred to as the deep state/military industrial complex.)

The alleged purpose of this false flag attack was to justify the invasion of other countries, and usher in a heightened state of “national security,” precipitating the curtailing of civil liberties in the name of “safety.”

How effective has the 911 false flag been in persuading the American people to accept the CIA’s overthrow of elected governments who refuse to succumb to America’s imperial ambitions?  Just ask Brazil and Argentina two of the most powerful and rich countries in South America, who have both seen their elected governments overthrown by the CIA and their resources and treasuries thrown open to Wall Street hedge fund vultures.  From GlobalResearch.

Excerpt:

Wall Street and the Pentagon greeted the onset of 2016 as a ‘banner year’, a glorious turning point in the quest for malleable regimes willing to sell-off the most lucrative economic resources, to sign off on onerous new debt to Wall Street and to grant use of their strategic military bases to the Pentagon.

Brazil and Argentina, the most powerful and richest countries in South America and the Philippines, Washington’s most strategic military platform in Southeast Asia, were the objects of intense US political operations in the run-up to 2016.

In each instance, Wall Street and the Pentagon secured smashing successes leading to premature ejaculations over the ‘new golden era’ of financial pillage and unfettered military adventures…

Argentina and Brazil:  Grandiose Schemes and Crapulous Outcomes

The international financial press was ecstatic over the election of President Mauricio Macri in Argentina and the appointment of former Wall Street bankers to his cabinet.  They celebrated the ouster of the ‘evil populists’, accusing them of inflating economic results, reneging on debt obligations and discouraging foreign lenders and investors.  Under the Macri regime all market obstacles were to be removed and all the bankers trembled with anticipation at the ‘good times’ to come.

After taking office in December 2015, President Macri unleashed the ‘animal instincts’ of the market and the carrion birds flocked in.  US ‘vulture funds’ scooped up and demanded payment for on old Argentine debt ‘valued’ at $3.5 billion – constituting a 1,000% return on their initial investment.  A devaluation of the peso of 50% tripled inflation and drove down wages by 20%.

Firing over 200,000 public sector employees, slapping 400% price increases on utilities and transport, driving small and medium size firms into bankruptcy and enraged consumers into the streets ended the honeymoon with the Argentine electorate quite abruptly.  This initial massive dose of free enterprise ‘medicine’ was prescribed by the local and Wall Street bankers and investors who had promised a new golden era for capitalism!  …

Brazil:  Wall Street’s Three Month ‘Whirl-Wind’ Honeymoon

Most of the current elected members of the Brazilian Congress, Senate and the recently-installed (rather than elected) President, as well as his cabinet, are in trouble:  The hero, Michael Temer and his argonauts, chosen by Wall Street to privatize the Brazilian economy and usher in another ‘golden dawn’ for finance capital, now all face criminal changes, arrest and long prison sentences for money laundering, bribery, fraud, tax evasion and corruption.

In less than four months, the entire political edifice constructed to impeach the elected President Dilma Rousseff and then de-nationalize key sectors of the economy, is shaking.   So much for the financial press’s proclamation of a new era of “business friendly” policies in Brazilia.

Ha ha, the best laid plans of “rats and spooks” in Latin America is a big failure.  Now the 2016 election is upon us and the CIA and FBI are pulling out all the stops to upend the two major candidates, neither of whom they want to ascend to power and rein in the unfettered power of the US shadow government.  The agencies are irate that the American people rejected their candidates in the primaries.  So, what is the latest “false flag” being spoon fed to the American people?  The Russian Government is interfering with the American election.  Bullsh*t.  From Alex Jones:

Excerpt:

CONFIRMED: US INTEL OPERATIVES LEAKED CLINTON CAMPAIGN EMAILS, NOT RUSSIA

It’s now clear from numerous sources that the Podesta hack, which led to Wikileaks releasing tens of thousands of Clinton campaign emails, as well as other hacks targeting the Democratic Party, were the work of U.S. intelligence operatives…  Sources who have spoken privately to Alex Jones but don’t want to be named have confirmed that government and intelligence operatives worked in tandem to provide Julian Assange’s organization with the Podesta emails.

This is backed up by former British ambassador Craig Murray, who was told by security insiders that the email leak “comes from within official circles in Washington DC.”  William Binney, NSA whistleblower and former technical head of the NSA, also told Infowars back in August that the email leaks which have negatively impacted the Democratic Party were carried out by individuals within the U.S. intelligence community who were angry at Hillary exposing classified information and sought to take revenge.

Yes, and while the intelligence community is throwing everything in their massive covert goody bag at Hillary Clinton before Tuesday’s election, the Republican establishment is coalescing around Paul Ryan to keep Trump from winning the electoral vote.  It is too late, Trump has already won.  Trump is truly the candidate of change.

Not only has Trump stood by the people of the United States, he has stood by the people of the world especially in the UK, Russia and Syria.  Now the people will stand by Trump and Trump will be the leader of the free world.  Under a President Trump, America will be great again, because America will be good again.  Under President Trump the world will be a better place.  On Tuesday America’s sixteen year nightmare will be over, thank God.
